If you are like me, and suffer from what I like to call the chubby chafe, this product is for you! Although I am not actually chubby, when you play a sport like college women's lacrosse where your uniform includes a miniskirt (but don't let that fool you, we're pretty badass), thigh chafing is almost unavoidable. I can't stand the shorter spandex that tend to roll up so you end up looking like you're picking a wedgie or scratching your crotch in front of hundreds of fans and photographers, which is why I ended up going with these. They protect your thighs from chafing and keep your quads and hamstrings reasonably warm in cold weather, which is incredibly important in a sport like this. No one likes a pulled butt muscles, much less anything else. anyway, I highly recommend these whether or not you play a sport or are a casual cyclist. pros: 1. They fit as expected and are incredibly comfortable. 2. They do not roll either on the waist or end of the thighs. 3. They do a decent job of compressing and keeping muscles warm 4. NO CHUBBY CHAFE! Cons: 1. Extremely high waisted. Seriously, I could pull these up to my boobs, and I'm practically an amazon with a long torso. 2. If you are one of those weird ladies that wears underwear under your spandex, even the most discreet line will show like the baggiest of granny panties 3. Traps heat a little too well at times, which leads to some epic swamp ass after a particularly rough game in 85 degree heat.

I bought a pair in extra large. I'm 5'3", 170 pounds. I can't wear anything super tight or restrictive because I have plates in my lower back. I have spinal stenosis and arthritis, a long with a dose of fibromyalgia. I walk 4 miles a day, I hike and as soon as the DR says OK, I'll be riding again. I've been on steroid injections which caused weight gain. I'm strong and have great muscles but unfortunately, a bulging middle. (For now) I bought one pair in black, wore them and IMMEDIATELY got on line after walking 4 miles to order 2 more. I even searched for pants from this brand. They are SO comfortable! No riding up or sliding down. No roll over. No show through. No bunching anywhere! Because I have several trigger points, I have a hard time finding shorts that don't cause pain in my lower back or along my waist. Honestly, I can't even feel these on! My husband loved them on me! When walking today, I reached to hitch up the waist, a habit now. I had to stop and laugh. My shorts were in place. I was tugging up my tank top thinking it was my shorts!! Don't hesitate to buy them.

I bought these shorts as an under-layer for running, with looser shorts over the top. I am tall (5'11") and curvy (big rear and hips). I love the length of these shorts, they come maybe 2/3 of the way down my thigh -- they don't roll up. I also love the waist -- it's high, a couple inches above my belly button, but given my curves, that high waist stays up much better than the more fashionable low waistlines. The material is slick and will help me stay modest/avoid thigh chafing. The major problem with these shorts (in the purple) is that the rear is quite see-through. Solid underpants are clearly seen through the fabric. I won't be able to wear these without a top layer. This is probably a bigger problem for me because my hips/rear are pretty big. In short -- if you're curvy like me, these may be a bit transparent on you. Otherwise, they're great.

I bought a pair of these, size 4X, for my mother. She has a medical condition called lipedema that causes abnormal fat tissue to accumulate without any normal cause. This makes finding clothing for her difficult because one side of her body is larger than the other. When her doctor told her to wear compression shorts, we both weren't sure where to even look. I bought these for her without much hope of a good fit, but was quite surprised. They fit my mother well, and are super comfy. She was so happy with these shorts that I bought 2 more. The shorts offer some compression but aren't too hard to get on. That is to say, these aren't medical grade compression and with that they aren't as difficult to get on as medical grade compression garments. As for other information concerning the fit, my mother is 5' 2" and the shorts rest about 4 inches from her knee, they do not ride or slide up, and 4X (the size ordered) is what my mother would normally wear.

well, I guess I expected more compression as in like a throw back girdle that holds it all in and smooths it out...expected a heavier fabric and a little bit more firmness, but not much more than a control top pantie or hose. They are lightweight and do ride up a bit so my workout now includes a bumpy, lumpy silhouette with additional moves of pulling down at knees and pulling up at waist. Oh, and I did buy to size and they do fit nicely, but not all that I expected when the description uses the word "compression".

I got these to wear as underwear so I can go on long aerobic walks and hikes in regular clothes. I wear a size 20 in jeans, and a size 2x in these, although I could probably fit into their smaller plus sized shorts as well. It's hard to find workout clothing in my size that isn't embarrassing (for me). But wearing street clothes to walk at 5mph is extremely uncomfortable. Also I like to walk to work when I can, and I don't want to have to change clothes when I get there, but I also don't want to tear up my thighs with the seams on my underwear and jeans. These are a great compromise. I can wear whatever I want without the chafing I'd otherwise get. The only problem is that some pants will try to slide off because the material of the shorts is so slippery, and the waist goes up way higher than the waist of almost any pair of pants will. I got my first pair of these shorts several years ago direct from the manufacturer, and they aren't quite as elastic as my newest pair, but they still feel and function just as well. I have sewn-in labels on most of my jeans, and some of them are really scratchy, so not only do these shorts protect my skin but they've also been scratched on the back like you wouldn't believe. The back is fuzzy, but totally intact. They are really excellent. Everything from AeroTech is. I have several pairs of their chamois bike shorts and capris, several pairs of workout shorts, and I had one bike jersey but my rats chewed it 😭 Everything is excellent. They're one of the only companies that offers plus-size cycling and workout garments, plus it's all made in the US!(!!) Their service is superb as well. I got a personal phone call from them about an order once, and was so impressed. (NB: If you're going to buy shorts to wear under pants, I'd recommend these rather than the spanky shorts, at least if you're on the bigger side. It might not be an issue if you have lanky legs. The spanky shorts, at least my edition, have shorter legs with less structure in the hem so they're more likely to roll up, which will be uncomfortable in and of itself but also expose your thighs to chafing. The waistband is lower which could be good or bad depending on your wardrobe. I don't like how my pants hit right at the same spot as the waist of the spanky shorts, because then my belt presses the elastic into my skin.)

The first pair I bought was in 2014. I love them. There is no roll up or roll down. I used them ever day during the warm weather. I probably have about 20 pairs by this point and only one pair developed a hole. They have really gone up in price but when you find a great product that prevent chaffing and stays put they are worth it. I have bought various sizes over the years at my current weight of 240 the XL fits snugly which is great when chaffing is a big issue.

I bought 2 pair of these back in 2015 to use as swim trunks under my swim dresses/tankini's and they are STILL near perfect. I am 5'8 and approx 230lbs atm and got the XXL. Back then I was 190lbs and they fit perfectly either way. I own my own pool so, lots of constant use! I just happened to decide to look through my past orders and pick up a couple more. Sadly, the price has nearly doubled. I paid maybe $26 back then but tbf they are quite worth it. I rarely leave reviews but would like to see this product stick around, and was awesomely surprised they still were.
