Outstanding image quality and wide coverage – excellent PoE camera
The image quality on this camera is genuinely impressive. The 16MP dual-lens setup delivers a very wide field of view with excellent detail, both day and night, and without the distortion you often get from ultra-wide lenses. Being able to cover a large area with a single camera is a big plus. PoE makes installation straightforward and reliable, with no Wi-Fi dropouts to worry about. Setup was simple, integration with the Reolink app was quick, and the camera has been rock solid since installation. Motion detection is accurate and customisable, and the night vision performs very well. Build quality feels solid and weatherproof, and overall it offers excellent value for the level of performance you get. If you’re looking for a high-resolution, wide-angle PoE security camera with dependable performance, this is a great choice.

Excellent Wide-Angle Camera with Great Smart Home Integration
The Reolink Duo 3 PoE is a fantastic camera with impressively sharp and clear image quality. Recording to the SD card is straightforward and hassle-free. I’ve integrated mine with Scrypted and Home Assistant, and the process was incredibly smooth - setup was simple, and it works brilliantly for automations. One minor drawback is the limited vertical field of view. While the camera offers an ultra-wide perspective, it doesn’t capture much height, which can be a limitation depending on where it’s installed. That said, it’s still an excellent purchase overall and performs extremely well in both image quality and smart home compatibility.

Brilliant
Works brilliantly with my Reolink setup. Gives an amazing 180 degree view at the front of my house. I just wish they did some other quirky cameras… Great make, replaced my Swann setup. Miles better.

Good, but needs H.265+
These are great as 'overview' cameras, to view a large long area and get context of what happened/where someone came from or went. Don't think of the 16MP as meaning you will see micro details, you will not - the camera is about covering a large area and they need pixels for that. Things I like: * Small form factor * Large field of view * Hybrid lighting - love this, IR at night, LED activates to give colour on motion * Looks may not be to everyone's liking, I quite like it * Audio in/out is very clear/loud * Siren - if you use it - is very loud and will certainly get someone's attention * AI Motion triggers seem pretty accurate (less false positives) * Works with various NVRs Things I'd like Reolink to improve: A camera with 16MP needs H.265+. Even though it has H.265, this still puts a high demand on my NVR. H.265+, used by some other brand, makes a huge saving even over H.265. Come on Reolink... There is too much sharpening out of the box. I am not convinced the camera sensor can resolve 16MP. I notice the picture is over sharpened and if I drop it to zero the image is quite blurry. This is with maximum constant bit rate selected. I suspect bumping the resolution to 16MP was a marketing gimmick (more is better), and the underlying sensor/lens is not capable of it, hence the extreme sharpening to make up for it to the untrained eye. So come on Reolink, don't abuse us with 16MP unless the hardware is up to it - it just puts too much extra load on networking/storage for no real benefit. Dual lens lighting - I have noticed the brightness of each side can get out of sync. There is no independent adjustment of left and right sensor on this model, which is needs. Nor, is there an auto mode to try to keep them in sync. This can be a problem if the camera is mounted near a corner or other reflective surface at night, where one side might get slightly more light than the other. It needs some controls to correct this. So, give us H.265+ and make the underlying sensor clearer and you have a winner.

Did my research and it paid off.
Had this camera over 12 months now so I can safely provide a strong review. Instillation was as expected. I opted for PoE method instead of power and ethernet so had to drill a smaller hole and comes with a mounting panel to put to the brick wall. Then all you do is clip the camera to the mounting panel and it's up. Id recommend a junction box for the connector. This camera has lasted 12 months and perfectly working, I'd heavily suggest a high storage SD card with reasonable read and wright speeds. Connecting to the camera is fast on my phone and retrieving prior days is simple to navigate. I like the smart motion notification for animal, vehicle or person letting me know who's in my back garden. Sometimes calls my 2 year old an animal but I suppose it's not wrong haha! Yeah really impressed, I've bought another for the front now too.

Great camera
The Reolink Duo 3 truly impressed me – it’s an outstanding camera that detects motion instantly without any delay. I previously used the Aosu P1 Max, which often had a 2–3 second delay before recording or sometimes didn’t detect motion at all. Reolink, on the other hand, works flawlessly. The video quality is excellent, the viewing angle is wide, and motion detection is fast and accurate. I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for reliable home security. You won’t be disappointed!

disappointed
I am very disappointed with the Reolink Duo 3 PoE. The detection filters and alerts are unreliable. Sometimes it misses events, and other times it sends wrong notifications, such as detecting people but notifying me about animals. The smart detection system is inaccurate and frustrating to use. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this camera.

beinahe perfekt
