I love the idea . Bright enough for my front door as I live in the Country where there are no lights . I have it in a normal fixture . It turns on well if you get within 20 feet more or less . Why one star off ? A few times it has just kept going on and off ? I cleaned the fixture and there was no wind to cause any motion . Trying to figure out if it is defective or something like a spider is inside the fixture causing it or maybe a cat or other small animal I can't see out there when I check in the middle of the night as the light is between me and a window when I sleep . Will update I see they have a one year guarantee otherwise its a great product . I have had issues with motion bulbs bulbs or devices where you need to tape part of the eye . But I can't for the life of me see anything that would trigger it . Sometimes deer come up and eat the shrubs but you would think I would see them I have cameras taping for security in that area and their negative too . Not even any branches or leaves in the area plus there was no wind . Note they are also very large and were a very tight fit .

I bought 3, 2 packs of these bulbs of the 6, only 3 of them worked as promised they are installed in the hallway, 1 of the bulbs didn't illuminate at all and the other 2 bulbs worked as normal light bulbs and just stayed on all the time. I returned the 3 bulbs in the mail but will wait a while for whomever made them to improve the electronics get the bugs out before I get any more.// I will change the review from the original 2 stars to 4 as BestCircle company has refunded me the entire amount I paid because of the problems as of 11/24/17

I experienced the same quality issues as others mentioned. One out of 4 didn’t work at all. I conteacted the vendor to give them a chance to react but weeks later still no response.I’m also searching for a version that is not light native and detects and reacts to motion in all light scenarios. Our laundry is very dim in the day but the light won’t come on (understandably). I got no response to that question either.I hate to mention this issue in a review may be the only way to get a positive response.The light ps that work are super bright. We suspected one was over sensitive as it detects movements in rooms close to its location, but it really does switch off if you stand very still or creep up to it in the net room. They solve so many issues, I really want to love them, but maybe there have just been a run of issues and my report got overlooked.

Update: The seller saw this review and sent 2 new lights with a message that they had changed their manufacturer due to problems like mine. Of the two new lights sent, neither one worked correctly. One light stayed on constantly, regardless if there was motion (it was in a closed closet, and was still on 30 minutes after the door was shut), the other would never turn on at all, no matter how much motion there was. While I appreciate the seller's effort to be responsive, I stand by the rating.Lights appear to be well constructed, but only two of 4 purchased actually worked - they didn't light up at all. Motion activation has a very low sensitivity - they work fine in a garage to come on as you enter, but are less useful in the driveway or porch as you must walk/drive within 5-6 feet to get them to turn on, which seems to defeat the purpose.

These bulbs are amazing. If you have a teenager, or anyone else in your home, that swears you are made of money and loves to leave the lights burning all night throughout your house, these bulbs will save your sanity and your wallet. I was doubtful that these lights would work for me because my hallway has deeply recessed can lights, but these work beautifully. I have had them for over a week. The lights provide bright cheerful stair illumination. Only at night, and only when someone is in the hallway. My only regret is that I did not order enough for my stairwell, and the rest of the hall. This was an excellent purchase. I will definitely be ordering these lights for the rest of my home.

The motion detection lights work as stated, and are sensitive to movement even inside glass. Only receiving 4 stars as I bought 4 boxes (10/16/2017), plus one previously, and one light has died already. Expensive at $21.00 a pair, would have assumed better quality control.

I bought two of these. The first quit completely after about 3 months of use. Now the second one will light initially for about 30 seconds, then goes out and the motion sensor function does not work. Unreliable.Update. Although my review of these lights still must stand, the company's customer service is outstanding since I received a complete refund based on my dissatisfaction of the product. Kudos to them for that! So if you wish to try these lights, It seems that the company will stand by their product.

UPDATE: They burn out fast! One lasted approx 3.5 months and the other lasted 5 months.That’s no where near the bulbs expected lifetime. One was placed in the garage (that we only use when coming home and leaving) and the other was put under the basement stairs (that’s only used when the cat uses the litter box). Very disappointment in how quickly they burnt out. You may save money in electric costs, but you’ll spend the difference on these bulbs.For these light bulbs detecting motion I give them 100 stars..
