Fantastic shelf choice!
These shelves are great for a dvd collection. I've bought several. They are easy to build. Love the fake wood look too!

Perfect For What I Needed
I have bought ready to assemble MDF furniture in the past with uncertain and frustrating results. This was very well packaged, engineered and manufactured. Once you put the binding posts along the backboard, it is very stable. Instructions were clear with good fit and finish. Working by myself and taking my time I was able to assemble this in about 20 minutes. Don't over tighten anything. I'd recommend using a manual screwdriver over a powered done.

Just what I needed + assembly notes
Exactly what I expected when I ordered, since I rely on melamine pieces for my laundry, studio, home office and this utility closet tucked in under the stairs — inexpensive, sturdy, quick to construct, very practical and easy to keep clean. The Allen wrench is included, but note you’ll need that specific bit if you want to use a drill — which makes everything quick! Just don’t drill to fast or you’ll push right through the fiberboards. I finished in about 20 minutes, but then I’ve done a lot of this. It was nice to find that they included 1-2 extra of each type of hardware, though luckily didn’t need any of it as the screw heads didn’t strip or anything else fail. Note that the screws are visible on each side and no solution provided by the manufacturer, so I covered mine with some thick white sticky dots from a previous piece; you could also just fill and paint them or even pop on a white mailing label cut to size! I can’t stand them, even in a utility closet. :-) A hammer isn’t listed in the instructions, but you’ll need it to tap in the bottom feet. Also, if you’re like me and don’t want the huge, obnoxious stickers threatening you to screw this thing to your wall (I don’t have pets or children, or climb on furniture myself), just use a hair dryer to warm it up for a minute and they will peel off without leaving residue; I also had to do this with the lettered stickers identifying each part as they tried to leave glue behind. There are three positions drilled for each of the two shelves so they can be adjusted even after assembly, and I appreciate the metal pegs rather than the breakable plastic pegs that come with my older pieces. Also, I really like the new type of backing - the accordion-folded, coated cardboard slides into a slot rather than having to carefully hammer it to the back with teeny tiny nails I could never hold or, worse, those plastic-headed tacks where the nail always bent or broke through the plastic - worst part of putting together the old pieces! And don’t skip the little plastic braces - they keep the backing nice and tight, and less likely to be bent or broken if you push something a bit too far onto the shelves. Anyhoo, if you have realistic expectations and don’t manhandle it while doing the construction, I think you’ll also be satisfied with this bookshelf. I wouldn’t hesitate to order another one if the need arises.

Perfect dimensions (wide enough profile but only a 9" depth)
We needed a short shelf (<42" tall) that is wide enough (>24" wide), but only has a 9-10" depth, and I am so happy to finally have found this one! The quality of the materials is good (no warping, and all pieces were in great condition, even though there was some damage to the manufacturer's box during shipping) and the assembly was simple enough for one person. Only took ~15-20min each. I also liked the inclusion of brackets to provide additional support for the backing, which is slid into a groove in the wood pieces, whereas most similar style shelving has a backer board that is nailed in place instead.

Cute Little Bookshelf!
Such a cute bookshelf. Was easy to put together, the perfect height and width for the space I was using it in. Extremely durable and stable enough to pick all of our nicnacs on. Nice wooden material with enough space for us to organize all of our belongings on. Very dust resistant and easy to clean also.

Garbage Don't Buy
*** Edit: I was going to keep the shelf due to apathy, but I just couldn't. I returned it a couple of days after I reviewed it. I wasn't expecting much for the price. But this shelf didn't meet even my lowest expectation. It chipped apart while installing the hardware. The shelves fit poorly. The thickness of the walls and shelves is so thin I expected it to buckle under the weight of just a few books. My review isn't based on ineptness of assembly, I have constructed probably a dozen Amazon furniture pieces and have been capable of assembling all of them. Bottom line...it's garbage. The only reason I'm not sending it back is that it was meant for a closet and I can't be bothered. Oh, and it's ugly. Also, I only leave 5 ☆ reviews, this is a first!

Well designed $economical bookcase
The structural rigidity of this bookcase is entirely dependent on the 8 (2inch) coarse thread scews. One is screwing into predrilled holes in "chip board". I initially snugged all 8 & found that was not enough. I knew that the chipboard holes limit the torque ... however ... I was willing to sacrifice one hole (if necessary) to make this "BOX" ... wobble-free. I was surprised as to how much more "snugness" these holes/screws can take ... in order for this box to be quite solid. Keep checking rigidity as you tighten the screws carefully.
