MICHELIN12294A Digital Programmable Tyre Pressure Gauge

I’ve always wanted a digital tire barometer, and this is exactly what I want. Although there are many styles of digital barometer, the bleed valve of this one is the key to my choice of it. Also, I just got it and haven’t used it yet, so hopefully it’s high quality.

Well what can I say? Michelin...great name... unfortunately not a great product. First impressions were good, it looked great almost sexy for a tyre pressure gauge anyway! The build was good...but that's where the positive side ends.People have commented about it being hard to figure out the functions, personally this was fine and fiddling around with the buttons for a a few seconds I was able to program the gauge.Why on earth does a product like this power off after about 10 secs at most?? Which means you literally have to power up after every tyre.I found it very awkward to use and the 'bleed' button is totally in the wrong place.I could go on...I'm sending it back...very disappointed.

Well made. Provides a good seal onto the valve stem, large enough screen for pressure display. Used in a Tyre shop for quad bikes which like to run around 3.5psi etc and Ferrari that like to run accurately in bar. Proved also that one of our analogue gauges was 6psi out of spec.

Nicely made but has some odd flaws. Bought from Amazon, mine came with no instructions. It isn't the most obvious device to use either and a scan on the web revealed nothing on how to set it up. Got the instructions!! Much easier to use now.....The second bad design is the icons showing measurement select between BAR and PSI are so small that you need a magnifying glass to see them. Why? It has a HUGE screen so no idea why they chose to use letters barely 2mm in height.Third to report is the lack of a carry bag of some sort? You would think for an RRP of £32+ a protective sleeve would be included in the price. I did find a suitable holster style case and the device fits in it a treat. Everyone should have one in there car. Very important to keep your tyre pressures in check to get the best grip and the best life from your tyres. This one can even save tyre pressures for future reference which is handy.
