French Cleat Hanger 36 inches

Use plywood to create headboard for bed with fabric and buttons. Used this Hanger and it worked great, easy to install and hang.

We wanted to reuse an Ikea cubby that we had for a new craft space, but wanted to mount it on the wall. This strip came with plenty of holes to allow us to mount it all along the side of the cabinet and to allow us to hit multiple studs on the wall. It syncs up closely to the wall too so the gap is really not noticeable. It worked great for our needs... would highly recommend!

Pretty straight forward. Used it to mount a headboard to the wall as my tempurpedic adjustable frame doesn't have attachment placement for one. Wanted there to be a very tight fit that way it wouldn't wobble against the wall when leaning on it or bumping. I'm 210 lbs and hung from it without any creaks or groans.

I only cut off a few inches on this cleat. It was installed on a box compartment shelf I built and the application was perfect. The shelf hangs perfect level and has a very solid feel on this cleat. Maintenance or painting would be easy since the shelf can be easily lifted up and off the wall.

We had to replace our bedframe with one that was far superior, but did not accommodate the attachment of our headboard. After much searching, I came across this extra long French cleat. I don’t know why we didn’t just hang our headboard on the wall this way in the first place (although I’d never heard of a French cheat before stumbling on this one). The legs of our headboard always gathered dust and pet hair under our bed. We were able to get the cleat mounted into three studs on the wall and the other piece installed quick and easy on the back of our fabric headboard, which has wood framing on the back. We made sure both cleats were level during installation. Once both pieces were attached we easily slid the headboard cleat onto the wall cleat easy-peasy. No more headboard legs gathering dust and hair behind the bed frame. A win-win! We loved the additional length of this particular cleat as it allowed for installation directly into three wall studs giving added stability and peace of mind. The headboard isn’t all that heavy and it’s definitely not going anywhere. Wish I would’ve discovered this when we bought the headboard years ago! I can see where hanging heavy mirrors or artwork would benefit from this type of hanger as well. I had never seen them before, but am so glad I stumbled in it. It was the perfect solution!

It was just the right size for the job. It came quickly and it great shape.
