The condenser (outside) unit is pre-charged; however, the copper lines and top unit (Inside) are not. After connecting the lines, a vacuum must be pulled and tested for leaks. you can rent the install kit from DELLA or purchase this at Harbor Freight and Amazon. It is fairly easy to install but must create a large hole from inside to outside to route the power and freon lines. I installed the unit but hired an HVAC company to pull the vacuum to set the freon. this unit does cool my 550 sqft enclosed porch and works with phone app as well as Alexa. It is very quiet and sounds like a fan running.

I installed the unit just in time for the bitter cold we had in the Northeast last January. It kept my house warm and cozy throughout the coldest winter days. Installation was a breeze for me because I’ve installed a few mini splits over the years. Word of caution for DIYers, take your time with it and don’t kink the lines, make sure to thread the lines very carefully and follow the instructions provided with the unit or you’ll be back here writing a negative review about the unit that it doesn’t deserve. It’s a great value for the money and a great addition to any space when installed properly.

This was best investment I've ever made. I put this on the wall on my porch that I've converted to a sun room. This extra space that I enclosed with plexiglass and wood and sealed with insulation stayed about 20 degrees different from out side. With a window unit and heaters. Now with the split unit it stays what ever temp I want it to be. The della split unit is so quite I have to put my ear on it to hear it run sometimes the out side unit is even quite. If you mount on outside wall that is a little thin and only a few inches thick it might give a little bit of a hum but so slight you have to want to hear it. Turbo cool or heat will cool or heat super fast. The remote is confusing really bad even with the instructions. No real video to watch on it and you can not out it on auto and set a temp. When you put it on auto which is what I use the most your temp is not settable. You can NOT set auto. Not even on the app. AUTO can not be set. I have not found anything anywhere that can tell me how to set auto. Otherwise this is perfect 👌 👍 🥰. I love it.

I'll give this unit 4 stars for the quick shipping and well package items. I installed the 220v 18k black unit in my 40ft 5th wheel so that I wouldn't need to run any of the 3 roof mounted units during the summer. I have installed these units before, so installation was straight forward. It did come with clear instructions which fell in line with how these units are typically installed. It's on it's own disconnect at the service panel which makes it run separately without robbing the trailer of it's own supply. The only issue I have is the temperature settings to maintain my desired room temperature. Regardless if I use the app or the remote, in order to keep a temperature of 70 degrees in heat mode, I need to set the unit to 75. If I set it to 70, it will heat the space to 75 degrees or more before the fan slows to a crawl. Living in Arizona, I have had a few days to try out the AC side of this. Same issue. Except I need to set the unit to 86 or higher to maintain a room temperature of 80 or it will freeze me out. I've checked the app, and it states the room temp is 78, with the unit set to 84, and still blows cold. Setting the fan mode to "auto" keeps the fan blowing at speed 1 during AC, where during heat mode, it would lowered to a silent crawl. Once I feel comfortable, I need to change the fan to "quiet" during AC just to keep the room from getting colder. I do appreciate the ability to control this unit from anywhere concidering I travel a lot. Only one time did it have a glitch where it wouldn't respond, so I just reset the breaker.

HOLY COW!!! SERIOUSLY!!! Never in my wildest dreams did I think the mounting bracket for this 12000btu indoor unit would be less than 16"(on center) wide! Leave it to the wonderful folks at Della to cut the most random corner of all time. This unit didn't ship with a mounting bracket wide enough for 97.3% of all American homes!! Even the poorest made Ryan homes have studies that 16" On Center...yet my Della mounting bracket isn't capable! Line set that is too short, sure. Plastic blower fan, okay. Not being able to mount the indoor unit on two studs...MIND BLOWING! Now I have to repack LITERALLY everything and return 100% of it! Thanks a lot Della!

Put your coat on!! I like the room cold when I sleep. It’s summer in Florida right now and I am using TWO comforters! Love this split unit!!! No leakage. We installed it ourselves so we saved on the installation. Awesome value!

I have had these for a year and half now with no problems. Low utility bills. Run extremely quiet. Keeps the area extremely cooled at 72 and warm in the winter. No need for alternative heating and cooling. Installation was extremely easy and easy to follow instructions.

Installed this in my man cave. Cools great. I’m in Texas and the man cave building is black with a black metal roof and this unit was able to keep in cool even on 100+ days.
