Great scrap quilt book
I really like that you don’t have to have foundation for blocks. Can’t wait to Make a couple projects

Not the best string quilt book out there
Best ideas: 1. Including plaid strings, which soften the sometimes jarring seam lines in a string block. 2. Using string-pieced "fabric" for applique shapes. Disappointing: no templates for most applique projects. For the "Plaid Poppies" quilt, templates for the petals of only one poppy blossom were included, along with instructions to "enlarge pattern 600%”. At only 86 pages, heft was artificially added to the slim volume by printing on cardboard-thick pages, making handling difficult. Give "String Quilts with Style" a try instead.

Excellent purchase
Great book! I wasn't sure when I bought it if it was the one I'd been thinking of. It is and it's got great patterns and tips and tricks.

Three Stars
Haven’t had chance to make any of the patterns illustrated, but there seems not to be much variation.
