Another solid product from RIT
I’ve purchased this dye multiple times. It’s great if you are dying new fabric. I used this for a polyester blend tapestry that I didn’t like the color of. Came out really nice. I haven’t had any issues with the color fading. It’s a solid brand and a solid

2nd time
It's fine but I just need to leave it in for about an hour to an hour and half next time

Works great to dye synthetic doll wigs!
Bought this to dye a Blythe doll wig to make a Coraline Blythe and the wig came out perfect! And now I have extra left over for the next project! Love it!

Follow instructions.
Obviously, following the directions, it worked out perfect for what I needed. I got the synthetic for a polyester shirt and it worked out great. I am very well pleased with the product.

Not effective
Attempted to dye a favorite brand of pant into a uniform-appropriate color (brand does not offer the required color). First attempt produced grey instead of navy. I bought a second bottle and repeated the treatment. Result after second treatment was a darker grey. Nowhere near the advertised “midnight navy”. Package instructions were followed to the letter on both attempts. Only cooked for about 30 minutes the first attempt- package says at least 30, up to 60. So I considered that the first attempt may have just not soaked long enough. Second attempt went the full hour with still disappointing results

Broken Bottle
The bottle was not wrapped up at all inside the mailing envelope and the lid had opened in transit causing the dye to spill and a mess. :( I’ve used this dye before and it is a great product. Needs to be packaged better though.

Doesn't work on bleached stains. But to be fair, they did say it may or may not work. So, if you are buying it for the same reason as I am, don't risk it.

Instructions were easy to follow. The dye Works really well but the process is a bit messy. I had already dyed my garment but the stitching was left undyed and the pants looked weird so I redid them with the Rit Dye. The coverage was great and the colour was perfect.

The instructions on the bottle were tiny, but I watched a few videos before I started. Be prepared! I dyed my white satin/ polyester wedding dress to the midnight blue colour. I had the dress shortened so I used the off cut as a test piece first. Happy with the process I did the dress next and it turned out well. I used 1.5 bottles for the dress and 0.5 on the test piece. I used galvanised stainless steel bucket over a gas stove, and a bamboo stick to stir. Have old towels on hand for around the sink. Even colour coverage. Ended up a bit creased after the heat and spin in the washing machine but nothing a bit of steam won’t fix. I would use dye again now I’ve given it a go, I feel confident doing more.
