Innovative Marine Chaetomax -9W- 2-N-1 Refugium Led Light

Been struggling to grow my chaeto in my AIO refugium using full spectrum lights. If they’re small enough to fit the Refugium chamber they’re not bright enough. Finally bit the bullet and bought this light and was wowed with how bright it is. It was clear it was working because within 24 hours the chaeto was producing so much oxygen it was covered with bubbles and floating. The light is well built and now that I see how bright it is I realize that the price is appropriate. Even came with metal brackets to allow two of them to be connected together for larger refugiums.

I started with a few strands of chaeto that hitchhiked with another algae I purchased. In one month I had to throw away some of it because it would not fit anymore in the protein skimmer compartment of the Fluval Evo 13.5 g tank. I don't know how fast chaeto grows with other lights, but this works for sure. It is quite expensive for the size but it is convenient to mount on the side of the Evo tank.

Works good. I have an IM 150g Nuvo INT and I bought the single 9 wat and the bracket that comes with the sump is built for the 18 watt but it works. Sticks on with adhesive that comes with the light. Light also comes with a mount but I use the bracket, works great so far and the chaeto and red ogo is already grow quite nicely.

First time I used this light in my refusion and love it.

This is my second one , im using it on IM 30 Long on the outside of a rear chamber for chaeto, works great, but the first stopped working 1 1/2 year later . Im not sure if the light went bad or the power plug . would of been nice if they put a disconnect in the cord like they do on on most wavemakers . I will have to cut the cord to test the plug. Id does grow chaeto well.
