* When I first opened these they didn't work AT ALL. *I made sure the little plastic tab thingy by the batteries was removed & I even put in my own batteries, but it didn't matter what I did... nothing worked.I put them aside for a few days in faint sunlight & after a day or two I tried them again & they mysteriously started working!I know what you're thinking... that I didn't charge the panels the first time, right? lol.Well, remember I tried with batteries in them too & they still didn't work, so I'm not sure why they all of a sudden started, but I'm thrilled that they did.If you happen to have the same problem, don't panic.Don't return them right away, just try again after a day or two in the sun and see if that works.Now, to the review...They look like swirling fireflies on a warm summer night! 😊These gorgeous twinkly lights obviously don't move like fireflies, but because of the way they're spaced apart, they resemble fireflies flying in a mason jar (they're so reminiscent of my childhood).The solar panels work great and I've had these lined up on the walkway in front of my house for almost 2 months now with NO batteries in them and practically no sunlight (we've had RECORD BREAKING rain for the past 2 months in the DC area) and they're still going strong, I'm shocked.Reminder: you're only buying the lids and the lights attached to the lids, the jars themselves are NOT included!If you're looking for the jars too, I bought these chic/sweet mason jars with chalk labels & they are a perfect match.https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Vintage-Chalkboard-Weddings-California/dp/B06ZXWGY9K/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref=yo_pop_d_yo_pop_d_pd_t2** I personally depend on reading reviews to help me determine whether I should buy a product or not, so if you've found this review helpful please click the helpful button below my post so that I can pay it forward & help others too! 😊

This is the second time I’ve bought these for my yard and they look beautiful scattered and hanging in the garden. They will only last a couple years because the metal does rust over time as I leave them up in the seasons elements. I love the look in mason jars though. One of the battery covers did break on me when installing this time....I just taped it because I don’t feel like dealing with returning. First time that has happened. Make sure to remove the plastic tab on the battery cover, as well as the plastic over the solar panel. Overall I like this product.....

These work really well. Very bright and cheery super easy to install on jelly jars and small mouth mason jars. They are LIDS ONLY. You will need to supply jars and hangers. I didn't realize I had accidentally ordered the colorful flickering version so I did return for the steady on instead. The flickering was pretty, but reminded me too much of a Christmas celebration. I wanted them in the yard for a more quiet relaxing. atmosphere. I can think of a million crafty little ideas for these though and they would be perfect for wedding table decorations as well.

So much fun! I put these in south facing window and they are so cute! It has to be fairly sunny for it to stay on for extended periods but such a pretty light. I gave one to our friends with their xmas gifts and they were delighted. You can buy mason jars or look at what you have already in the kitchen. Salsa comes in jars suitable. Just wash them out and use a kid for the neatest light.Unwind the wire gently and extend it for best lighting.

I bought these on a whim to fill in my garden. Saw the same thing at a local store for $4.99 each. Got them home and then bought one pint Mason Jars for $1.00 each. Charged them all day yesterday in the Sun. Last night, when it got dark, they all lit up. I was thrilled because they looked so pretty!!!! I have two raised gardens in the front of my house. These are perfect and I will definitely be ordering more!! I did take a picture but, it certainly didn't do them justice so I won't post it

I order this type of light frequently and these are by far the best I’ve seen yet the color is bright and brilliant and beautiful they flicker continuously and sometimes are still going when I get up the next morning I love love love these!!! hopefully they stay available so I can continue buying them when needed.

2 of 6 didn’t light up. There were a few that were dim. I can’t get all to light brightly even in direct full sun charge. May have to return. Thick glass. Like the pattern reflection.
