Bedsure Heated Blanket King Size, Dual Control Electric Blanket, Blue

I paid $33.59 for this item on 10/23/23 and I’ve since increased my initial rating from 4 to 5 stars. I like how this blanket is very soft and plush and feels really nice to the touch. I like how it’s constructed to be warm and is warm just as a regular blanket without any power at all. I like how the controls are simple/effective and how the 3hr default timer is set intuitive for most use I like how the highest heat setting seems sufficient even when really cold, and that it heats up fast helping to better thaw out my feet that can get cold as ice. I like how being a shorter throw model doesn’t take away from it’s effectiveness and that its smaller size even helps make it easier to manage. I like how upon ordering that the manufacturer emailed me guidelines for safe use/operation I like how other than the big plastic sticker they put on it that there’s very little that I don’t like. Long review details Although this blanket is very soft and plush, it’s thin enough that you can still easily mold it to follow your shape. But with it’s construction being on the thin side, you are reminded that it is indeed an electric blanket because you can feel the heating cables within it's build which start their inlaid pattern at about 10 inches inward from the outer most edge/border, but I haven’t found the feel of them to be at all off-putting either. I didn’t like that some spots seemed to heat up more than others but over all that’s also pretty minor and that most importantly it does warm up quickly. I also didn’t like that the handheld controller itself tends to heat up a bit when on the higher settings adding some worry to its safety but I’ve been using it for over a year now and haven’t had issues otherwise; and, I found you don’t have to keep it on high for very long, just to warm up quickly before setting it lower. For more precaution I initially got in the habit of hanging my controller from a hook hung off my bed side dresser drawer which helps give it adequate space to "hang out and be cool" and that does seem to help it dissipate heat better; but I also often use it while on the couch with the controller right on top of me or with it sometimes ending up off to the side or even under me, but still haven’t had any issues. This is the throw size model and I like that its smaller in terms of size management because while I'm also using other regular blankets with this (only when its really cold, and when I might lay one blanket on top of this one to better hold the heat in) on my lower half to add more heat where it’s needed most for my legs and especially my feet that can often get cold as ice, and this really helps with that. I do often use it on the couch but either way I always use it with a flannel sheet which not only works well for adding extra warmth but better helps to distribute the heat and has also been very effective in keeping it cleaner longer and so effective that I haven't had to wash it yet. This is surely not a perfect product, nor at this price point is it made of the highest standard or quality in comparison to models more expensive, but despite that its issues have been minor, and it’s been working really well for me over what's been now its second cold season or second year and it’s still keeping me warm at night. Will update if any of this changes, but again, it's going into its second year of daily use (when it’s cold), and I can recommend it with a full five stars.

I had a bad flu and the chills were awful! I ordered this blanket and it arrived as I was just getting better, I didn't get to use it much but then winter came and this was the only blanket I had on alllll winter. It washes well (air dry it), it's soft and comfortable, the heating wires haven't died anywhere and still works, and I appreciate how warm it stays and insulates. I got COVID-19 a few weeks after buying this blanket and lord it was a lifesaver. I got the worse chills, but this blanket got me through it. Sometimes even when my back aches I cover my back with the blanket and it doubles up as a heating pad! I've had a few other heating blankets but they never survive a full year, this is the first blanket that is actually holding up pretty good and I've had it consistently on daily for the past half year or so. It's still running great.

This blanket is the perfect size for a throw blanket. Very soft and cozy. Doesn’t heat as much as I thought it would but does get warm and works well. It’s a keeper 🤗

Purchased as a gift for my sister. She loves it and says the heat is perfect in it. It is a quality blanket and definitely worth the price. It is relatively big as well, and the appearance is perfect in the couch. We love it and im glad we got it

Very soft and perfect fit. Gorgeous colors. This blanket will work for preheating, yes it has a preheat setting! Surprised me! Warms quickly and evenly. Perfect for those chilly or freezing nights!

I have spent hours researching electric blankets and still can not find the ideal blanket for the price. This was my last try of several blankets and it did not make the grade. I examined the quality and compared it to two other electric blankets. One of the other blankets was similar in price and good quality, but I do not care for the controls and the control did not stay lit. In my opinion every blanket should have some dim light on indicating the blanket is on. The other blanket I compared it to was approx 50 dollars less than this one. The quality of the 50 dollar one was better than the Bedsure. The control was simple with on/off and cycled through heat control and remained lit. The taupe color of Bedsure is pretty and looks like pretty good quality. However it was shedding a lot around the edges and the blanket has a bad chemical smell. The Sherpa side is extremely thin and flimsy to the point I would not expect it to last very long so I would question the washability. The description on this item says the Sherpa has 200 GSM, Grams per sq meter which indicated it was of mid weight. I find this very misleading. The quality of this blanket is not priced according to the quality one would expect at the current price range. However, I must say other manufacturers would benefit greatly if they would design their electric blanket controls similar to Bedsure. The blanket did heat up quickly and easy to understand the controls. The dim light remains on indicating the blanket is on and you can easily see the settings. If the quality of the blanket was comparable to the other blankets I would have stayed with the Bedsure. The one I kept was the Beauty Rest because it was actually less expensive with a small discount and has a 5 year warranty and much better quality. I do not care for the controls but I settled for quality blanket that heats up. I also kept the inexpensive blanket 50 dollars which was a great price and better quality blanket than the Bedsure with no frills controls. I hope someone reads this and will improve these items for the consumer.

My wife loves this blanket - it’s throw size so it’s small enough to use in the living room. It warms up fast and is super soft. Perfect gift!

I'm extremely pleased with this electric blanket. While I can tell the heating wires are there, it's fairly well hidden and it doesn't bothering me when I'm using it. And of course, most importantly, this heats up really well and is keeping me very warm in the winter. Actually, it's so warm I don't really go over the number 2 setting. I love having a timer to make sure the blanket turns off automatically in the mornings, and while it has a preheat setting I find that it warms up pretty quickly so I don't really need to use this feature. The controls are also very nice. It has a great balance where the buttons are easy to press without resistance, but are not so flimsy that it's unlike you'll change your heat/timer setting from accidentally bumping against it. I'm so happy I got this for the winter, and I strongly recommend it to others that want to have a warm and toasty bed.

Great blanket/throw with even comfortable heating - this is second bedsure heated blanket we have now as others brands have proven to be cheap with tiny uneven heating areas only. Would recommend if you want a cozy nights sleep or a cozy time on couch watching tv!

My wife loves it, she hasn’t even tried it on high and says it warm enough. She especially likes the plush softness of it. Well worth the money, very glad I bought it for her!
