Powerful beast, tiny form factor
Works great. I added RAM and an M.2 with no issues. Easy to take apart and reassemble. BIOS picked up the items right away. I also added a 10GB RJ-45 card with no issues. I am using this as a ProxMox server and it handles 12 VMs with no issues.. Overkill, but it can do anything now, 10GB SFP+, 10GB RJ45, and 2.5GB RJ45 connections. M.2 is fast and plenty of memory. It's quiet and the HDMI adapter and usb ports work great with my KVM switch. A great small PC box for anything you need

Compact AI Workstation Powerhouse โ Perfect for Local LLM Projects
Running this Minisforum MS01 (i9-13900H) paired with an NVIDIA 2000E GPU for local LLM workloads โ itโs been exceptional. Performance per watt is outstanding, thermals are stable under sustained GPU inference, and the noise profile is nearly silent even during multi-hour runs. For anyone building local inference or dev stacks (e.g., vLLM, Ollama, WhisperX, PyAnnote), this unit hits the perfect balance between compute density and acoustic comfort. The small footprint makes it ideal for a desk-side node or a clustered setup, and the internal layout is serviceable without frustration. **Pros:** - Excellent sustained CPU + GPU performance for LLM inference and Whisper pipelines - Extremely quiet under load โ barely audible even during CUDA-heavy tasks - Compact form factor with solid thermal management - Easy access for NVMe upgrades and fan cleaning - Stable power delivery; no throttling with 2000E in the PCIe slot **Cons:** - Limited space for larger GPUs โ low-profile cards only Overall, this is one of the most balanced small-form-factor AI nodes Iโve used. If youโre running local models, fine-tuning, or need a quiet inference box that just works โ the MS01 is an excellent choice.

Great for virtualization and hypervisors
It's very firm and well designed high performance for hypervisors the only issue is if you are deploying esxi 8, the CPU not supported you have to tweak it, abit hot re apply new thermopast, other than that it's perfect

Great computer, terrible customer support
I absolutely loved this as a homelab machine when it was working, it's a very capable server computer in a very small footprint. The problem was that one of the 10G network ports started malfunctioning. I contacted Minisforum support, went through the troubleshooting steps with them, and they determined that they would send me a replacement after receiving the defective unit. I sent the unit back per their instructions, and never received a message in response, after many messages over several weeks requesting status. I am now out $700 for a computer I returned on the assurance it would be replaced. If you get one, just hope it never breaks.

Fast but not low power
Fast cpu on this, but not low power so will increase you energy bills. But I wanted a fast media server so was worth it to me.

Powerhouse! Using as a proxmox/ceph node
This thing puts out a TON of heat, even when it's idle. I installed a half-height controller card that came with my 8-bay SAS/SATA enclosure. Even when there are no VMs running, and just maintaining a low-use 3-node Ceph cluster, it's just billowing out heat from the vents. I suppose it's not a huge issue, but in my eyes that means it could use better cooling and/or a larger enclosure. That being said, I would definitely buy more of these in the future if I want to expand my cluster, or one of my other PC-based servers dies a horrible death. I upgraded to 96GB of RAM, and you can also daisy-chain 3 of these via thunderbolt and have a wicked-fast internal network for heartbeat, Ceph, and live migrations. Then you can use the 20+ Gbps of networking for everything else.

Works as expected, excellent product.
I read a lot of reviews and had an idea of what to expect, it wasn't hard to open or add my hardware. I have had no issues with my unit. I will personally look at replacing the m.2 wifi included to an Intel variant for more compatibility in Linux.
