Perfect solution to an annoying problem
iPhone changed from using a lightning connector to using a USBC. When you upgrade phones you are left with your old now unusable cables. These adapters restore use to old cables. These are inexpensive but well-made. I especially like the provided cable tie to attach the adapter to the cable so it doesn’t get lost when it’s not in use. And I like that the adapter gives a solid snap when engaged on the lightning connector.

These work great and allowed me to use old charging cords in my classroom without having to purchase new cords. 10/10 highly recommend.

Does not work for iPhone earbuds
Bought these mostly to use my iPhone earbuds, but it does not work. It does work for the charger though.

Exactly as described. Great inexpensive hardy case. Have dropped it several times and holds up, thank goodness!

Apple CarPlay can work on some head units.
I can’t speak for those who’ve had some bad experiences with these, but for me, so far so good. The tiny manual that comes in the zip like bag says CarPlay won’t work, but I tried it on my “Pioneer DMH-2660NEX“ head unit, and charging plus Apple CarPlay work just fine. Will be ordering more of these as back ups in case I’m somewhere, need a charging cable, and all someone has is a lightning to “USB-A, or lightning to USB-C” cable on them to use.

Adapter that works for older iPhones
When iPhone changed its charging connections I didn’t want to have to replace all of my lightning cords. This adapter has done the trick for the most part. The only issue I had was in my car where after a year I would get messages on Apple CarPlay that my connection was wet (it wasn’t) and when I switched it out with another adapter it was fine. I retried the original and got the same message again. It wasn’t inexpensive enough and I still use it to charge other devices in my home with no issues.
