I would say that I'm not really a beginner to using polygel but I am by no means up to the level of a nail tech. I found this polygel to be easy to work with; it's not too hard/sticky but it also lasts on my nails a long time. I don't do my nails extremely long so I can't say for sure how long they last if you're doing long nails. I also change out my nails about every 2 or 3 weeks and they've always lasted great when it was time for my next change. This tube will last a really long time especially if you're usually doing short/medium nails. It's really easy to file as well. I really like jelly nails and encapsulated nails and this polygel doesn't turn foggy
