The magnification is great, there is a clear image and the magnifier has a large area to look through. I'm using mine for jewellery beading, the previous, somewhat smaller one I owned made it difficult to get a view of the whole piece, so the larger area here really helps. I tend to set it so I can focus on my hands rather than the table...you can't do both, but this is in the nature of focal points and I can still find my beads! Because it plugs in, via USB, the light is bright and consistent. The listing and recommended items suggests it needs batteries but this isn't the case. It comes with a table clamp and a heavy base. I've found both to be useful, I've got the clamp on my desk but occasionally I like to head in front of the television and the clamp wouldn't fit on my side table so the base makes it easy to use the magnifier wherever it suits. Both balance well. Great value for money, lovely and bright, clear image, good size and versatile in use. Totally recommend.

I wasn't sure about keeping this magnifying lamp, because I thought it was rechargeable, but it isn't. It has to be plugged in with a usb in order for the light to work. That being said, I thought I'd give it a go before I decided. Having used it, I can safely say it's going nowhere. It's incredible for doing craft work, especially in dim light. The magnifier is excellent and the flexibility of the goose neck is ideal. I've not tried the vice grip that comes with it, as I'm more than happy with the sturdy base. Great value for money. I wish I'd bought one sooner. Would definitely recommend.

Well built, sturdy product. Comes with two types of attachment - most companies would retract this for savings. The head is heavy though, and it is NOT supposed to be bent up or down, you move the long neck from the neck itself. Anyone move the head up and down will snap it easily. The head attached to the neck could be more robust but then it would be much more expensive right? The lens is so helpful for figure painting especially at my age where I can struggling with long sightedness. A variety of lights, some warmer, some more clinical. Different intensities of light. Overall very happy. If the neck snaps I will not be happy!

Great magnification and brightness of light with several light settings which is really useful for detailed work late at night. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the base is not as heavy as needed for the flexibility of the lamp. The images makes the flexible arm look longer than it is. The measurement is correct (45cm) which means the light sits directly over the base and cannot be rotated away from the base without losing stability and it falling. Whatever you are working on has to sit on top of the base. If this isn’t a problem, this product is ideal.

Lamp was bought as a gift for my daughter to paint her warhammer collection as i was fed up with seeing her hunched over and squniting to paint the tiny details on the figures. The light is absolutely fantastic. It comes with a stand to have it free standing or a screw mechanism to clip it to a table. The lamp stand is really flexible and can be moved into lots if directions. Its a brilliant size and very sturdy. Easy to put together and use and the Magnifying glass and light options have saved my daughter hours of squinting ber eyes! Im tempted to get myself one for cross stitch.

Fantastic magnifying lamp, only thing that I was abit disappointed by was the fact that the clamp was abit small, it doesn’t really fit on my desk but beyond that, it is fantastic.

very stable and holds quite well in whatever angle you place it in, the level of brightness in the light is fantastic and the colour tone choices and very good and well suited for varying work . The magnifying glass is very clear and easy to adjust the angle

Really lovely product had a base as well as clamp stable. The weight is what I expected for the product functionality. Wish the arm was slightly longer but can use the clamp for adjusting position. Not over priced. Very easy to use. Size is good for painting and bead work. Magnifier by 10 ok for my use and purchased for that reason. Husband can use for reading as the light is good quality.

It's the best tool I look forward to using it each time when the things or items I need to work. Ideally, on a work desk whereby it's there whenever you need it.

I bought this for diamond painting because some times the numbers, letters or symbols are very hard to see. Even though i use a lighted board underneath what I am working on, I still need to see it bigger to make sure i am using the correct color drill. That is where this magnifying glass comes in verry handy. All I do is clip it onto the edge of the table and then I move the gooseneck into the area I am working on. It makes everything so much easier. While the weight of this is a bit heavy it adjust easily and the light is nice and bright. I usually leave it in the same spot so as to not have to keep cleaning up an area that I am just coming back to. I just fold down the goose neck so its not sticking up or out and there has never been an issue or problem of having it in the way. The light’s clip that adheres to the desk is very strong and holds well yet doesn’t scratch or ruin your furnishings.

Its perfect for scale modelling. Awesome with both magnifier and light.
