It provides a perfect angle for sharpening the wood working tools.

Don't buy
Spent hours trying to fit my chisel in it. The chisel sits at an angle, and hence the end of the blade sits at an angle to the sharpening stone. The plane blade holder works fine, but the chisel holder doesn't work. Bad quality, or defective product.

It Works.
This works, solid stuff. Chisel or plane irons can be sharpned. You need to be careful about angles though.
