These boots are exceptionally well made, and are very comfortable to wear for a whole day.

Well made, but the stiff cuff is painful against the ankle, even with merino wool socks
My late grandfather wore nothing but Chelsea-style boots. I so wanted to like these R M Williams boots, but wearing them around the house on the carpet for 45 minutes the evening they were delivered proved to be much too uncomfortable. The edge of the stiff cuffs rubbed my ankles red right through merino wool socks. The discomfort lasted two days, but I packed the boots for return as soon as I removed them. Your experience may vary.
