Ce jeu d'échecs / backgammon est fonctionnel et idéal pour les voyages.Il est facile à emporter en vacances ou autre et ne prend pas trop de place.Il est bien sûr moins beau qu'un jeu d'échec traditionnel en bois mais le produit semble quand même être de qualité.

If you like playing games such as chess, backgammon or draughts (checkers if you are from the USA) this is a great little set. It is nice and compact, rolling up into a small tube type shape for storage, it even has thought about how to store the 'pieces' as there is a tubular section with a zip that you put them into.Quality of the board is really quite nice as it is made of a leather like (TP?) material which means it will be resilient, waterproof and should offer a good long product life. However it's strength is also one of its few weaknesses because being a leather type product, once rolled out it is very difficult to get it to lay flat. This is the problem with this type of material as if stored rolled like this is it will tend to want to remain rolled once opened up. Perhaps a better option would have been a felt or material type product, although the downside there would be you'd lose the waterproof properties and over time it would be likely to degrade quicker.The other thing to mention is the pieces, naturally to be portable these are pretty small and are actually small round discs. I understand the reason for this as you need to produce them like this to keep the set small and portable. However it does make them a little fiddly and with the chess pieces it is not so easy to identify everything at a glance. However this is not a show-stopper, just something you need to be aware of as this is part of the 'portable' aspect of the set.So there you go, not exactly 100% perfect, but the compromises made are there to make this what it is meant to be a portable and compact travel set which it meets perfectly.

Die Idee ist grandios, aber ... das Spielfeld ist recht formstabil. Dadurch dass es aus mehrere Lagen besteht, legt es sich nicht leicht aus, sondern rollt sich immer wieder zusammen. Manchmal ist weniger eben mehr: wäre es nur eine Lage, bestünde das Problem wohl nicht. Leider ist der Rand um das Spielfeld auch nicht so breit dass man was drauf legen könnte. Also für unterwegs? Naja wenn man mit dieser Macke klar kommt, ok. Für die Reise? Bei Ankunft ausrollen und beschweren dann gibt sich dass vielleicht.So erstmal ist es eine schöne Idee , leider nicht perfekt umgesetzt.Die Steine etc. sind absolut ok.

J’ai été agréablement surprise par la qualité du produit. Le plateau de jeu est suffisant grand pour pouvoir jouer, mais il est aussi pratique à emporter avec soi.

Es macht natürlich sehr viel spass und nimmt fast keinen platz weg, da es aufrollbar ist.Jedoch geb ich es nur 3 Sterne, da das aufklappen des Feldes immer nicht gerade ist.Wenn jedoch trotzdem mal zu einer reise ist mit einem kollegen und man braucht eine abwechslung, dann ist dies der ideale produkt dsfür.
