I have seen these advertised several times. Being evacuated from wildfires twice in 2 years, this provides some peace of mind in the event we ever have a kitchen fire or anywhere in the house for that matter. We won't have to think about how to work a fire extinguisher or even if it's working! I put one in the kitchen and one in the garage. Great price too!

The fire blankets give me such a peace of mind having around. They do have some weight to them but I assume it’s because of the product. I have one hanging up in my garage and it was super easy to do. They seem to be good quality and the instructions are super clear. It’s bright red and stand out so you can’t miss it. Everyone should have a fire blanket around just incase and I love that it came in a two pack.

Advice: Imagine where you will retreat to when your stove has a fire, and mount this in that location. You don't want to reach across your burning stove to get the fire blanket.Definitely mount it securely on the wall, so the pull tabs can work as they are designed to. You won't be thinking clearly, so you want the deployment to be easy.My wife had a kitchen fire many years ago, and the extinguisher powder was everywhere. It was also hard for her to work the safety pin on the extinguisher, since her hands were shaking. This product design, with prominent color, wall mounting, and easy-to-grasp pull tabs makes it potentially easy to use and fast enough to deploy that a fire won't spread before it is smothered. Well thought out.Advice: It smothers the fire, but the fuel (presumably grease) will still be hot! If you lift the blanket before the fuel can cool down, it will simply flash up again. That can be a dangerous event, or even potentially deadly! LET THE BLANKET STAY IN PLACE UNTIL THE FUEL COOLS DOWN.This should be emphasized in the instruction sheet.

Compact, ready for use, would make a nice gift.Hopefully won't have to use it but will be ready if I do.

Sturdy and large enough to work

These are so much easier to control. I'm a former fire fighter and sometimes you just need an alternative fire extinguisher so you don't ruin the equipment and have all the cleanup of the yellow powder that also is not good to inhale. I have had to throw away gas grills after a small fire I attacked with a traditional fire extinguisher because the cleanup was impossible and you can't be sure your not cooking with the yellow powder still in it.

Great to have and a good price for 4. I hope to never have to use them, but feel good having them.
