what effects pedal is recomended

It is impossible to recommend effects pedals unless you specify the type that you are interested in. The built-in chorus and reverb are just fine but there are many outboard units out there that you can check out online. If you are looking for a footswitch an inexpensive two-button one will do just fine. Bear in mind that it will work on both channels at the same time. This means that whatever your settings are for reverb and chorus, the reverb will be on or off for both channels, and the same goes for chorus. In practice, you will probably have chorus on just the guitar channel, and switch it on & off for different songs. You may have the reverb set to have a little more on the vocal channel, and turn it off whilst making announcements.
