This film is amazing. First, I used it on the bottom 2/3 of two windows (inside windows) to block the view from outside into one of my rooms. Leaving the top 1/3 uncovered allowed a view of the trees. I was amazed at how lovely this looked--I had purchased it for privacy but it looked like etched glass. It is a bit tricky to put on the window, moisture is important for it to work, and I'd recommend to people to put it on the window. The amount of light that comes through is perfect,about five times more than my lightweight curtains were letting through. So I ordered more of the film and put it on the OUTSIDE of my three sided glass shower enclosure. Wish I'd done this years ago. It is beautiful. Finally the "view" of naked people in the shower is gone. Surprisingly wonderfully, the drops/calcium//scum whatever it is that needs scrubbing to clean, became invisible. It is invisible from the outside and the inside. The light that comes through is more than adequate for a shower. There have been about 30 showers since I put on on the outside of the shower glass, and it is still looking perfect and not peeling off. This film really does look like "etched glass". I had been expecting something like contact paper, and what a wonderful surprise. I have never seen anything like it. This film passed the "supreme, ultimate" test when my rather (very) picky neighbor saw it and said "You got your window replaced, I love it. Where on earth did you find a window frosted on the bottom and clear on the top?"

This product was very easy to install with only 1 person. I was able to do it myself without help. You just spray soapy water on the surfaces. It has been up going on 2 or 3 weeks and has stayed put. It has allowed me to still see through the window while also cutting down on the light that passes through. It still lets light through, it is just now a more calming light blue, like a filter. There seem to be darker colors if you want less light, but I also wanted to be able to see through it.

I bought this to put on the window of our side door. (Curtain just wasn't cutting it for me anymore.)Window is more then 17" wide. Just looking at the picture, I thought I would be able to line the pattern up the seams. Nope. This film is NOT like wallpaper. Pattern does NOT repeat on the edges for you to match the pattern. If this drives you nuts, and your window/glass is wider than the film Don't Buy It. If you don't have OCD issues, go for it. It really is easy, affordable and pretty.

Soon as the windows got cold the film fell off everyone of them

I have an ugly view of the side of my neighbor’s house outside my bathroom window. I wanted to be able to keep my shutters open and have privacy 24 hours a day.I had previously installed a UV protectant cover over all the windows in my house. It installs similarly to this film. It gave me privacy during the day, but not at night.I wanted to also install this film so I can just leave my shutters open 24/7. To make a long story short, this doesn’t install properly if you already have something adhering to your windows. While it looked properly installed, it peeled off as soon as the sun would hit the windows in the late afternoon.I did find a work around that works with my windows. I installed the film, ran a soft cloth over the top to get rid of all excess water, and used “white” transparent tape all around the edges. My shutters hide the taped edges, but even so, the tape is about the same opacity as the film.As you can see, I was able to install the film, even though there is a UV protector already installed on my window. I’m really happy with the level of sunlight and privacy that I now have.

I have experience with tinting windows. This product was a mess. Not only was it thin, not all stayed on my window panes. Imagine spending hours measuring, placing and squeezing out each panel, only to wake up the next morning to find some tint panels had curled at the edges. Or completely fell off!

I gave it 5 stars because it does what its supposed to do very well but MY mistake, I missed the part where the mirror side is OPPOSITE of the side that sticks to the glass. So if you mount it on the inside, you get mirror on the inside. But again, as stated it was easy to remove and reuse. Mounted outside and made a huge difference in heat coming through on a south facing window. It sticks really well even after removing and reinstalling so I don't think there will be a problem with weather. Nice and dark too; light inside seems like sunset level during daytime.

I originally got this to cover my bedroom window for the summer while there's a window air-conditioner so I cannot close the shades.The product is a true breeze to install and the design is super nice.But...it is not fully private (this was a bummer for me, I ended up using this on other windows and buying a more private SKU for the bedroom). When it is dark outside and fully lit inside you can very easily see in through this (the flowers have some parts that are not frosty.)
