e.l.f. SKIN Holy Hydration! Gel-Yeah Moisturizer

I am in my late 50's and normally use a gel-cream for my combination skin. (at a higher price point than this) I was very curious to try this gel even though I have very sensitive skin and have to be careful what I use. I figured, "why not?" It's so inexpensive that I wasn't too worried if I ended up pitching it. I have to say, I was very surprised at how much I liked this. It does have a mild scent so was a bit nervous about that in the beginning. It feels amazing once applied- so cooling and no burning or irritation at all. It left my skin perfectly moisturized with no oily feeling whatsoever. Considering the price and that it's a drugstore brand, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again!

Love, love, love this lightweight moisturizer for my oily, sweaty a$$ self lol. Any other moisturizers that aren't gel make me feel like I'm suffocating and I instantly start to sweat. Not with this stuff. My only qualm is that there is a scent. It VERY light, though. It's really hardly noticeable and it doesn't irritate my skin or anything. I didn't even take a star for it. That's how little it impacted my overall review. It's 100% compatible with my skin type. If you're an oil slick like me, this is for you! The consistency is a fun, bouncy gel that is so lightweight that you wouldn't think it could be moisturizing... But it is! It absorbs very, very well, and quickly at that. The size is generous and the price is super fair in my opinion. A little actually goes a long way, so you won't need much and you won't have to repurchase as often as other brands. I don't know what they put in it, but it's magic. If you're all about lightweight, this is for you. If not, they make a great cream. I accidentally ordered that the first time and ended up using it only at night, and it worked out quite well! Zero issues. It's just too heavy for me, is all.

For some reason, this is the only moisturizer that does not make my makeup or sunscreen pill up which is the most obnoxious thing ever & I know that different ingredients will do that when mixed together but I've tried SOOOOO Many & they all seem to do it except this. I do love a gel moisturizer anyway. It also makes my skin feel nice & it absorbs in very fast. Doesn't leave me feeling sticky or greasy etc. The scent doesn't bother me, it's pretty faint & it's not gross. & It looks like you don't get much in the jar but it does last awhile, I use it everyday & it'll last me over a month since a little goes a long way. Oh & I have dry to normal 42yr old skin

I have combination skin, so oily if I don't moisturizer and get oily easily in the summer or depending on the other factors but other times really dry especially in my t-zone. THIS is my favorite moisturizer I have ever tried, hands down. It moisturizes well, but isn't too heavy. Soaks in really fast. Doesn't make me overcompensate with oil later. Sometimes I double layer in the winter just because it isn't the richest and in the winter I need extra moisture that this doesn't always provide. But it is one of the only moisturizers that hasn't broken my sensitive skin out. It smells good and has fragrance, so do know that. I deducted a star because I don't know why but within the last year or two they've downgraded the quality of the container. It's now this awful, hard plastic with jagged and unsanded edges on the bottom of the container. I have a container from two or three years ago of this product and it is this heavy, smooth higher quality plastic/material. It honestly really irritates me to the point that if I buy a new container, I scoop the product into the higher quality one I've kept. Not a deal breaker enough to make me switch, but i just really disappointing to me.

I like using ELF products. I hadn’t tried this one yet. I waited on the review until I had tried it for a bit. I like it. Goes on cool. Easy to mix in. Good on sensitive skin. I’ll be buying it again.

This gel texture is so much fun. This super light moisturizer feels fantastic and balances out oily skin. It dries down to a matte finish and leaves your face with the right amount of hydration. It seems to lightly tighten the skin, so that tells me that it has true Prickly Pear extract in it. I love this on days when my T zone is overly oily a fre times a week. You will need an SPF with this moisturizer if you are out in the summer sun. The fragrance is light, and dissipates quickly. I personally love the smell, but to be honest I wish there was a fragrance free version available as well. A lot of ppl can not tolerate fragrance, no matter how light. This is definitely a day moisturizer. It's far too light for a night cream alone. However adding a little facial oil over top of it will work as an occlusive, if you'd like the actives (squaline and prickly pear). This will help condition your skin during skin Cell turn over which happens why you sleep ( I use maracuja oil but jojoba or marula oils work fine as well.) I love this moisturizer and the texture is so much fun. It goes on feeling like water and the skin absorbs it quickly leaving you with a matte, oil absorbing finish. Perfect price point too!

This is a really good product. It worked well for my oily skin, leaving no greasy residue and without clogging my pores. For the price, it performs exactly as expected and offers good value.

...eine Skincare die mich nicht aussehen lässt, als wäre ich mit Butter eingeschmiert worden. Ich habe, besonders um die Nase herum, immer schon fettige Haut. Der Benefit davon ist, daß ich mit 56 immer noch für Mitte 30 gehalten werde. Dafür aber wir ein glänzender 35-jähriger. Die Gel-Formel ist einfach unfassbar angenehm, ich benötige nicht viel davon und der Duft ist unaufdringlich. Meine Haut brauchte ein paar Wochen um sich an die neue Hautpflege zu gewöhnen, aber jetzt habe ich das Gefühl, sie ist balanced. Am Anfang fühlte sich meine Haut erst mal sehr trocken an, aber nach ca. 6 Wochen ist sie 'angekommen'. In Verbindung mit der 'Holy Hydration! Eye Creamv von e.l.f. jetzt meine neue Skincare und ich bin happy!

I found this really lightweight and it absorbs very quickly and doesn’t leave any greasy residue nor stickiness. I have quite sensitive skin that is prone to over use of products so I keep things quite simple. This moisturiser has done a great job of keeping my skin soft without irritating it. It’s not as moisturising as a cream style product, but I know my skin doesn’t like anything heavier than this. This is more like a serum than a cream
