Nice lead, the green is an attractive colour
I bought the medium weight as my dog is a hefty puller on the lead, and the 5m long one. I used to have the 3m, but the 5m seems even better. I feel any longer you would not be able to have any control if you needed it, so 5m is good.I was not impressed with the colour selection on offer, I bought the green which is nice, its not too bright. The lead seems well made, it is easy to use, there is a little instruction booklet that comes with it, but actually if you are not used to this type of lead it is worth watching a quick video on Youtube on how to use it correctly, it is worth knowing how to use it properly, because it is pretty nifty.I have smallish hands for a woman, so the adjustable setting for the grip size is actually really good, it allows you to access the buttons/switch on the top without having to twist your hand or stretch. I have used the Flexi leads which do not have the adjustable grip size, and it is worth paying a tiny bit more for. It appears to only be an option on the medium & large size leads.

Well made.
Though a little heavy at first, I like this lead, easy to lock, and robust. I was about to let my dog off the lead in the park when he spotted a squirrel that I hadn't, he took off, not wanting my arm taken out of its socket as he weighs about 40 kg I let go and the lead stood up well to being dragged and bumped about for about 30 meters or so, a few scratches is all the lead suffered, with squirrel safely up the tree and looking down at my dog with a look as to say you are a fool. Very good buy, would recommend if you have a large dog.

modern lead
at first i thought this was quite big but ji'm now use to it.its mordern and looks nice and premium feel to it,strong unlike the black cheap plastic lead you get from other places.it stretches quite for i think about 8 metres as mentioned int he discription which is good as there are time i dont like to let me dog off the lead but still want him close by . the lock is easy to lock on. theres a nice small pull and the lead comes all the way back in.

Beware dog chewing it!
I bought the Large 8m tape in June for a strong, rescue Lab. The lead has been great for walking him on the beach and it often gets wet in the sea and covered in sand and salt (I'm wondering if that makes the lead more tasty to him!). Design-wise it is great, fast and easy locking button, although the lock-slide could be a little easier to operate. It's quite heavy (but then it's a large etc) and it's useful to have the option of adding poo bags to the underneath and a torch to the side. I'm going to have to watch the spring in the metal clasp as that is starting to seize up (due to the salty seawater etc).My main issue is that it seems pretty easy for a dog to chew through. I used to attach a short bungee to the end that seemed to have preserved this for quite a few months; however, recently I removed this and then saw that my dog seems to like to hold the lead in his mouth when charging around when it's extended, cutting slightly through the tape. After that I inspected it after each walk. The other day he was being a little bugger, wrapping himself up in it and had a good chomp on the tape. He only had it in his mouth for about a minute but managed to chew almost all the way through in that time - so beware of this.Luckily it's quite easy to chop a stretch off and retie it to the clasp so it's still perfectly usable. However, I am now considering added a short metal chain extension to save the the tape from his mouth (which will be fine until he wraps himself up again!). I'm wondering whether a rope version would last better than the tape for when I do replace this?

Great quality lead
This is the 3rd time I’ve purchased this product. Great quality, I tend to change them much more regularly than most dog owners would but that’s because it’s to hold back a husky that pulls quite a lot.Unlike some flexi leads it doesn’t rub or hurt the inside of you hand, there’s no sticking with tape and it’s very sturdy. You can also add poo bag attachments on to it, making it easy to get to.One tip - if it’s wet weather or your dog likes going into water, make sure you fully extend the lead and drape over a radiator to dry off. It dries within a couple of minutes, otherwise it will smell musty and mould will form!

Leader in the field
Possibly the best lead I've used. Some leads feel like the mechanism is jerking inside when the dog pulls but this one seem significantly more sturdy. This is particularly important if you've got a big dog or one that pulls a lot. I presume that the larger models would be stronger still.I feel a lot more comfortable with the tape version to the string as i've seen a string unwind, he model I bought was the tap lead but felt stronger still than my previous one. Almost a thicker, stronger weave.I know there was a previous model, between the classic and this one that broke a bit. I don't have any concern with this one, plus it is fully compatible with all the extras you can get, like the light ( which i have and is also pretty handy) and the bag/treat holder. Definitely one of the better leads on the market.

Sturdy and secure
Got this to use with my 24kg lurcher whilst in the fields. I take her to the fields on a normal lead then change over to the extension when it’s safe to do so. I would not use it near a road as you can’t retract it if the dog pulls or is startled and bolts. It’s very sturdy and holds her secure when she’s in the hedgerows or sees a rabbit etc.Just be careful not to do what I did when I first got it....she went to run towards some dogs and my instant reaction was to grip the lead, which slid through my fingers like a razor leaving extremely deep cuts to my fingers. Won’t be doing that again!Would definitely recommend but never grip the lead!!
