Duomed Soft (BS CCL 1) Compression Stockings Below Knee Closed Toe Beige X X Large

I was recommended this make by the hospital as easier to put on than most. Being disabled, I am putting these on one handed. I start by getting the foot on and pulling yje heel into place. That is the hardest part as the ankle part of the stocking has the tighest stretch. Once the foot and heel is in place, the leg part is much easier to pull up. They stay in place all day and really help with swelling, although it doesn't stop it complettely. When I rang up the company, to find out why one pair was tighter than the other, the helpful man explained that there were 2 levels of compression, and I had not noticed the CCL-1 and CCL-2 in the description. CCL-1 is not as tight compression as CCL-2, so I now have both pairs. It is obviously easier to get the CCL-1 stockings on than the CCL-2, so that is worth knowing for the future if I find the tighter ones too hard to get on. I also have bought the open toe stockings in this make. but find that they ride up from the toes more than I like, so I prefer the closed toes stockings myself.

Comfortable and help condition

Soft, comfortable and not so tight they cut into or mark below the knee. However, they are very supportive and do the job they're supposed to

I've bought a few of these over the last two years. They're perfect for me. Not to tight, so easy to get on and off, but still give me support. I need them for venous eczema on one leg to stop it rubbing on my trousers.

Good quality, a bit thicker than I thought but, even though I did careful measurements which showed I needed the small size, these are not very stretchy and very difficult to put on even with an aid. The foot is a bit too long for my size five and the length, thus the length to the knee is a bit too long. They wash well but are a bit too hot as they are more like a nylon. Good quality but not a good fit as the small is not quite right and medium would be too large. Foot would be too big.

My second pair of socks arrived on time Wednesday morning by Royal Mail. I am very pleased with them and hope to buy more soon. They are a good price and very comfortable as they fit perfectly.

Purchased for my wife's use, which she is happy with. Personally, I would have preferred if she had Black Fishnet shocking but they aren't manufactured.
