When you hold it up to the light American Pale Ale should appear a straw like golden colour with a slightly off white head which should be retentive. The aroma will be hoppy (mainly 'Citra' with a touch of 'Herkules for bittering) and as you drink, it goes down smoothly due to its light body followed by the flavour which offers a balance from the hop's but also a light taste of malt. Moving straight up to All-Grain brewing can be a bit daunting, so we've developed this excellent range of part-grain, part-extract kits. These kits use a top quality malt extract, but still requires the boiling and mashing of grains & hops and offers a great introduction into the grain brewing process. Our part-grain kits take 2-3 hours to make, which is no where near as long as the all-grain kits which can take the best part of a day! To make life easy, you don’t need the full boiling equipment (grandfather, bruheat buckets etc) required by a normal all-grain brew. All you need is a large pan and your kitchen hob.
