This book is pure magic. As someone who is experienced with “traditional” watercolor painting but loves abstract art, I couldn’t have found a more perfect book to help me explore some new techniques to create modern, eye catching pieces. Beautiful photos. detailed instructions and explanations. This book provides many project ideas that you can follow as closely as possible or put your own spin on. I also really enjoyed the incorporation of some mixed media in many of the projects. My first piece based on a project detailed in the book turned out beautifully. I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait to venture deeper and explore other projects in the book. I look forward to more publications from this artist/author. Just brilliant.

I come from a family of artists - nearly every one of them was an artist, and I mean successful artist, in a variety of artistic fields, all of which presupposed the ability to draw. I don’t purchase art books but there were so many great reviews I thought I’d give it a go and I’m glad I did. I’ve worked through several projects with success and I’ve enjoyed them so much. I love the easy to follow steps, the colors and embellishment suggestions. My paintings don’t come out exactly like the book but I look at the book as more of a guide and I’m very happy and satisfied with the results. I also find it relaxing and enjoyable while learning new skills. So happy with this purchase.

This book is gorgeous, and not like the usual watercolor books. I love her style, the rich colors and combinations she uses, and all the quirky, interesting and unique markings she brings to life. You will not regret this purchase!

I saw this book on Diane Antone's You Tube channel. If you follow her, you probably don't need this book because this is pretty much her style. I did see, however, that it does have useful I formation for a beginner like me.

Tolles Buch mit vielen Motiven zum nachmachen! Es wird alles erklärt und ich finde, man kann diesen Anleitungen sehr gut folgen! Wenn man es ein paar Mal gemacht hat, dann sieht man an Beispielbilder auch, wo man welche Technik einsetzen sollte, um das Ergebnis zu bekommen. Ich denke, man sollte schon etwas Erfahrung mit Wasserfarben haben, aber kein Expertenwissen. Motive sind eher abstrakt und Schwierigkeitsgrad wird langsam gesteigert. Sehr empfehlenswert!
