4 stars for this hot agent and America’s sweetheart
A great story for Brett and James. James is a very young, but mature beyond her 18 years, America’s Sweetheart actress who is somewhat fresh from a bad breakup. She meets Brett , where they have immediate chemistry and a one night stand that turns u to more until James finds herself in a scandal that completely destroys her and her acting career, as well as the new budding relationship she was developing with Brett. At the arranging of James’ manager, she funds herself on Brett’s professional doorstep. Brett does everything he can to avoid signing James until he hears the truth of what really happened.I loved Brett in this book! He was the city’s most eligible bachelor, but James puts all that to rest and Brett makes it his mission to brunt back James’s career. These two has great chemistry!

Signed. Sealed. Delivered.
Marni Mann was a new author to me when I started her Dalton series. It was there that I was introduced to James and Brett and learned they had their own story. I rushed right to it after finishing the Daltons. I really enjoy how Marni Mann writes. The words flow, the characters are well thought out, and the storylines are interesting.James is an actress who, unfortunately, has some negative things happen in her life. Brett is an agent. When they meet, she isn’t aware of who he is. They have chemistry, but then life rears its ugly head and James is swept into a media storm. Events lead to her becoming a client of Brett’s Agency and he tries to keep it business only. His goal is to get her career back on track. Their attraction has other things in mind for them though. I’offoff to continue this series

Age gap romance
I think he was 12 yrs older? She's 18 and they don't really get to know each other besides sleeping together like bunnies. He treats her horribly and he keeps pushing her away and then pulling her in to get a fix of her when he needs it. It rubbed me the wrong way. I enjoyed the other books more, i started with Dom and his brothers, which i read quickly. I almost didn't finish this but gave it one more chance and that next page was when James finally confronts him about using her and they actually talk about what they're doing. After she's been in a sex scandal at age 18 and her life implodes i was upset that he'd swoop in and sexually exploit her himself. Even though she was on board he didn't treat her right and she forgave him immediately just to jump back into bed; or on a desk, in the middle of a meeting with peers in the industry who can see, smell (ew) and hear everything, that blew my mind! I was mad at her for not setting boundaries and taking time for herself to decide her next moves before she was risking another scandal lol. She's young and vulnerable and naive and has a team of ppl to think for her. When she did speak up for herself i cheered. I confess i was just anxious to see who did it so i started speed reading, skimming till the end, the characters didn't do much for me.

Fun Romantic Read...Loved Loved...Give this Five and One Half Stars
My first story with Marni Mann was When Ashes Fall. It was such an awesome story. It was such an emotional story that I had to see what else Marni had that would interest me. Now I have so much to choose from. I decided to see if the first story I read of hers was just a fluke or could this author rock my emotions like she did in the first story I read. I found Signed and decided that I couldn't read another long story until I read one of her other books. This book is the first book in a series of books from what is entitled (The Agency Series). This is the story of James Ryne who was a childhood star, she is actually known as America's Sweetheart. James has been acting since she was 13. She and her ex boyfriend Abel acted together since they were young. Jame's parents died in a car accident when she was fifteen. James had only been with other guy other than Abel. Abel's new girlfriend, Sophia, moved James's things out of the house and put them in the garage and moved her things in. The house was owned by her and Abel but she decided to move out and let them have it along with the furniture she had purchased. Eve, Jame's best friend was taking her out because she was tired of James moping so they were dressing up so she can go out and have some fun. While they were out she happens to catch the eye of this gorgeous looking man Brett Young. James Ryne was just 18 and had just graduated. The man she caught the eye of was Brett Young who happened to own an entertainment company called "The Agency". Brett along with his friends that have known each other practically all their lives because they grew up in rent controlled housing in Boston and went to college together and even worked at an entertainment agency in Los Angeles together until they founded their own agency in Miami, Florida. So Brett was 30 and James was 18 but sometimes it doesn't matter the age because sometimes we are attracted to who we are attracted to. This story has loads and loads of angst and drama but it was well worth reading. It has wonderful characters and plenty of background to help with the next book in the series. Sometimes it is nice to have a series of books because all the characters need their own story and in this case Jack who is head of the sports agency part and Max is head of the Music division of the Agency and then there is Scarlett who is the CFO. They didn't open up their agency until Scarlett had all the financial knowledge needed for them to open up "The Agency". I truly enjoyed this story and read it in one sitting. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. I am definitely a fan of Marni and slowly becoming a super fan. Get this series of book and start with Signed.

Such a great romance read!
Signed was my first book by Marni Mann and I really enjoyed it! It had the right level of suspense to keep you hooked, funny and interesting characters and SO MUCH STEAM!James Ryne is a Hollywood actress, who at 18, has her whole career ahead of her. After a nasty and public break up from her childhood sweetheart, and co-star, of 5 years, she is trying to move on, so when she meets the mysterious and gorgeous older man Brett in a bar, he seems like the perfect guy to use to forget for a while. Their chemistry is through the roof, and they have an explosive night together, and the next morning, they exchange numbers when Brett leaves to go home to Miami. What was only meant to be a one-night thing turns to more over the weeks as they keep in contact constantly. But Brett is keeping secrets about who he really is, and when James’ entire world is flipped upside down, it turns out she might need Brett more than she thought.Marni writes chemistry like not many others can, the scenes James and Brett were in together you could feel the steam coming off the page, even when they were trying to deny their feelings and focus on remaining professional. I really liked their dynamic, because although they tried to keep things above board, it was so clear that that wouldn’t last for long. James’ strength even when the whole world was against her was so impressive, she kept fighting back even when she didn’t think it would work. But having Brett in her corner was a different ball game because he could help her with her image, and on a deeper level too, because of their love. Brett was so adamant that it would be a one-night thing because of their age difference but his feelings were obvious the second the news hit, he was in deeper than he expected. I didn’t like how he acted at the start, but how he apologised and did everything he could to help once he found out the truth more than made up for it.The rest of this series has been set up so well, and I will be reading more from this Agency group soon, because not only does Max and Eve’s relationship have me so intrigued, but Jack and Scarlett’s future relationships too. A great romance read!

Brilliant read!
This is the first book of this author that I have read. I had heard good things regarding her books through various book groups - this book didn't disappoint or let me down.I found this book to be a breath of fresh air in terms of it's content. I won't give away any spoilers but the plot of the 'problem' was unexpected, well written and conveyed with good taste.I thought that the two main characters, James and Brett, were well suited together and the connection and romance was equal parts steamy and romantic.I enjoyed the writing style of this author and the book flowed nicely, I will definitely be reading more of her books.I would absolutely recommend this book.

Good read
James is an up and coming young actress who finds herself ostracized when a sex tape comes to light. Her manager persuades Brett to become her new agent and clear her name with the industry. Her manager had no idea Brett had already met James and how angry he was about the tape, he'd started to want something more with her.
