Genuine Leather Scraps for Crafts, 3 lb Pack – Large Upholstery Leather Remnants in Assorted Colors and Sizes for Cricut, Earrings, Wallets, Sewing and Repair

This is my second purchase from this company, but certainly not the last! My 3lb bag had just 5 pieces in it. One was what I would call small to medium rectangular. Two were long rectangles, more than suited to belts, making cords, bracelets, watch straps, etc. The final two pieces were irregular, but massive! I am again putting these to one side for the moment, as they are just too good to waste on small items. These deserve to be used on something special. Reupholstering a stool or chair would be easy. I am even thinking they could be used to make a jacket or other clothing with a little creativity, something big like that for them? Incidental!y rubbing alcohol will take a finish off the leather so it becomes absorbant and can be dyed. Then you wax it again or similar to make it waterproof again. The leather again seems to be very high quality, with a lovely leather smell. It is all about 1mm thick, with a smooth, polished outer surface. They were black and dark browns. Earlier I got the most wonderful big piece of London tan (a light, golden brown like English horse tack is before it gets oiled), although that too was about 1mm thick, soft and flexible. Thanks to this company, I have never been so spoiled for choice! I understand that it is the luck of the draw, and I feel sorry if you get smaller pieces and not many colors. But when you think a hide of this quality is likely to be $100+. During a personal disaster, I lost a lot of things, including all of my leatherworking tools and craft leather. I never had enough money to replace the stuff. Now I bought a basic set of tools for $16 from Amazon and two lots of this wonderful leather. So now i can make things again for just $50, less than half of a skin, and that includes even basic tools! I know some are disappointed by holes in the leather, today I got my first one, but it was in a corner and is no real loss. What you have to remember is where leather really comes from. It is not plastic and so uniform all the time, it truly is organic and so will contain imperfections from things like scars from barbedwire injuries or whatever. Even problems when processing the skins. This is part of leather and if you cannot use it as a "feature" in some way, then you have to work around it. Problems are unfortunate, but you have to accept them as part of the hobby or business. I thank the suppliers for giving me access to such wonderful leather, I would never be able to afford it otherwise.

I really like All the different types of textures of leather for Inspiring clothing artist getting a chance to see different textures colors of the leather is the best way to learning your leather because people could tell you all kinds of things they think till they're blue in the face. But that doesn't mean Jack until you get to feel it touch it see it smell it for yourself of course there's going to be badd reviews. Good things get bad reviews because the commpation that is what tells us there something good about this product. So before you go and buy yourself the biggest slab of skins why don't you buy a variety of different leathers and then maybe call , say "Hey! I'm really interested in.......? explain whatever it is that you're interested in . Then talk to him over the phone get a little bit more acquainted with him/she ask more questions. [ Better then buying online because ordering anything online there's a huge gap there just like sending a text message to somebody you don't know whats the emotion behind the text message. ] Give him/her a call talk to somebody tell them, " Hey I love your Products I was wondering if I could just get a certain kind . ] ask your questions being polite goes a long way. I guarantee you will get exactly what you want what you're asking for it just takes that little bit of time pressing them numbers pushing call. let's be more supportive for businesses :Letterman's because that's rough. Tell me can you Butcher a cow ? Then.. skin that cow? pease out the pieces of that cow? Rhen take the hide treat it as it needs to be treated to become leather. Can you do that any of you!? Can you ? .... all those with the band reviews can you do any of that? I'd like to see it. Plus someone new learning is working for there family probably learning I'm sure it sucks to get something that's not perfect. Give them a call to talk to them about it. Bet you they'll make it right. There one of the top companies for leather. They have no problem making customers happy. I'm happy thanks.

I had no expectations, but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of colors and textures. The pieces are big enough to actually use. Good buy

I got a few larger pieces of leather in this bundle ( one approx 12" x 30". Smaller pieces were assorted in size, one was 6" x 18"), but the pieces were much smaller than my haul from the 2 pound item from the same store. I got about seven colors. Nothing was too small to use. There were a few odd shaped pieces, but there is enough material to make a good craft with each. I think the smaller 2 pound item was a better value for the money, but I need larger pieces so this one might be better for you if you want smaller pieces. I received no "scrap only" pieces like some reviewers did. I was either lucky or the company has improved their quality control. A few pieces have a hole, but it was close to an edge. Most pieces would have still been usable if a hole was in the center, I just would have had more waste leather.

First i want to say this I'm a newbie 1st time leather crafter but as a crafter I know the value if handmade goods and the time that goes in: 2ndly most people buying leather for the first time without any experience should be understanding and have realistic expectations buying scrap vs leather bolts or square ft etc that isn't scrap.. 1 genuine leather is not cheap and takes great deal to tan and dye and make period...2 .. You take a gamble buying scrap to whatever they've been using and making there isn't any control lol...3, after looking around I found leather is crazy expensive but buying this scrap is great for crafting and though I want completely pleased with the lot I got from this seller it was 80 percent or so Decent and good scraps that I can use to craft... there was one large nice chunk of beautiful fall leather and smaller pieces that were satisfactory but then I did get a good amount of pretty much unusable scraps that I will show pics of abs they were unusable due to 2 reasons, 1 its thin hard crunchy leather and 2 it is shredded to the point I can't even make any swatches of it its so thin and short! But I'm hoping seller will make it right?? I'll call them and ask if they can send me a few pieces to replace possibly.

Not very happy with this. The listing says earth tones. It was mostly grey and black. Only one tiny little strip of green. No tans or browns which is earth tones color. Grey and black are neutral colors. Also. Scraps are mostly stained or have marker and sticky stuff on them. I’m not happy at all. Larger pieces are strips not square or rectangular …

Package arrived ON TIME!, prompt, and packaged well. I am VERY PLEASED with this purchase. When I tell you to just purchase...PURCHASE! You will not be disappointed. The amount of leather scraps that are nice sizes are unbelievable! I will most definitely be purchasing from this vender again...SOON! Thank y'all for not false advertising. For I have been disappointed previously in the past. The color selection is beautiful! I was hoping to get some VegTan however, literally NO COMPLAINTS💯🫶🏾
