First flask came defective in terms of construction; I returned it. The next one: Perfect. Seems like the first one was nothing more than an uncommon factory defect.Having a proper one in hand, it's very well made and the leather is, in fact, real leather (hard to believe at this price point -- especially given the fact that this is a good piece of leather).The polish of the metal is great ... even the leather is stitched together with attention to detail. It is glued/adhered to the flask, but the stitching is real and it fits perfectly around the flask ... no gaps, buckles or folds.As far as the cap goes, it doesn't leak. I was expecting perhaps a bit, but actually it hasn't leaked once.You could spend more on a lesser Stanley flask. But, why would you? If you don't need an insulated flask but do require one that's well-made, with a distinctive look, then this is it. The leather provides a really slip-resistant grip, too.BOLD was on top of my original return as soon as the return was noticed within the company's CRM. Not only did the company make it right by sending me a new one, it also refunded my money in full out of a desire to please me as a customer.What's even more unique and exceptional: The company did all of this proactively without a direct request (or even a complaint) received from me.That's customer experience that would make most competitors envious; one rarely finds this in today's sales-metrics-driven marketplace.Quality product backed by an even higher-quality company. BOLD, you have a repeat customer.

I truly wish that they would be honest in their advertising as an item that is leather that is clearly not. This is nothing but thin cut pleather. Also, it is not completely stainless steel. The hinge that attaches the screwtop lid to the bottle is clearly chrome plated plastic. I still haven't figured out if the lid it's self is plastic but again this is not 100% stainless steel. This is cheap and falsely advertised junk.

I bought this as a gift for my son. He was pleased with it and liked the fact it came with a funnel. The product has a modern kind of hipster look to it, which is perfect for him. I took one star off because the box it came in made it look as though what you were going to open came from the dollar store. I would have gladly paid a few bucks more for a nice presentation box that would fit the flask and the funnel. Instead I got a cheap flimsy white made in China box that didn't even close all the way because the funnel was just kind of jammed in there. My advice to the company is to take it to the next level and offer presentation boxes. Even a choice of boxes would be really nice.

I didn't know what to expect for the price...was pleasantly surprised. Top screws on tight, no leaks. Hard not to get the leather splashed while rinsing, but I've noticed no water damaging. The funnel has a wide opening, so it doesn't fill right up and spill haaaa. As other people have mentioned, it does come is a plain unmarked white box, but that is why it is so affordable. Keep this in mind if it's gift purchase, but they will like what's in the box. Believe me, if you see it and held it, your expect it to cost a lot more..

The flask is of very high quality. The leather warp around it is nice and soft, and does not seem cheap at all. The metal hardware is also very nice, and the cap assembly works very well. The size is just about right to fit in my back pants pocket. I am very satisfied with this purchase! The seller was also very nice, and was easy to work with!Update: this is the second one I've bought now. I managed to destroy the first one at a music festival. Totally my fault.

Exactly what I was looking for and a great price. The screw on/off lid can be a little tricky but had no leaks. Perfect for a gift!

Oh come on. For the price this is amazing. Okay, the leather gets a little stained with use but isn't that suppose to happen? Like to travel with a good single malt and this fills the gills.. er.. I mean... fits the bill.

What can I say about a flask? It fulfills its purpose very well, holds a decent amount of my favorite libation. It appears to be well made, certainly looks nice and doesn't leak. A good value for the price. Was shipped promptly.

This is a very nice flask, just the right size and great looking. I bought it for my husband to take when he skiis. In fact, it's so nice that I just purchased one for myself (to stick in my saddlebag on a cold day) :)

Bold has hit a home run with this hip flask line. You don't have to look very hard to find out hip flasks are making a strong come back, and are priced all over the spectrum. The products offered by Bold are priced in the bottom one-third of the flask population, but provide features of much higher priced offerings. These Bold flasks are durable, very smart looking and, and make excellent gift items for that outdoors man that "has everything".

I expected a lesser quality, but was very pleasantly surprised. really good value for even a higher price than I paid. The company contacted me to ask if I was satisfied and I was. I mentioned if I had to nit pick I'd mention there was a almost un notisable dent in the top, but I wasn't complaining. They still insisted sending another and keeping the first with their apologies. Next day a new one was delivered. I will be adding this to my gift list.

The bottom started to leak after couple uses.Update:I contact their customer service after reading Madison's reply to my initial review. They sent me a new flask. 5 stars for the amazing customer service. I love the flask!

Got this flask as a Christmas gift. It does come with the funnel & word stitching is detailed and neat.I'm getting another one for myslef!
