Detroit Axle - 1.8L Front & Rear Struts Sway Bar Links for 14-19 Corolla

They fit and they work! I have a 2010 Subaru Outback with 250k miles and no clue if the struts have ever been replaced before. For under $400 I figured I’d give the Detroit Axle struts a shot. They installed fine and the car is back (I’m assuming ) to how it should handle. I can come off of the highway (fairly sharp turn) without the ship on an ocean feel I had before. The car sits a little higher now as well, not a lot but my old struts were horrible. Wouldn’t have an issue ordering from Detroit Axle again.

Had to cut the holes bigger on the rear struts in order to get them to fit. They are not in spec with a 2004 Toyota Highlander! Good quality shocks though. I've put around 2,000 miles on them and they perform excellent. Definitely worth saving the money and getting these.

It stated on the page that these would fit my vehicle. I ordered them, took them to an auto repair shop, and had them put on. Within a few days they were making noise and the vehicle didn’t seem right. I went back to the auto repair shop who told me one of the shocks was “dead”. I contacted Detroit Axel who told me the shocks were not for my vehicle and suggested a different set. I explained the shop said the ones sent were dead and I wanted to return for a replacement. I was told they couldn’t do anything about used parts! So I am out money and I have no struts. DO NOT TRUST THAT THEY WILL FIT YOUR VEHICLE!

All of the items are heavier than the items we removed and are of excellent quality. The rubber boots are not big enough on the large end to fit the 2018 Ram 1500 Tradesman 4x4. The old boots were in good condition and were replaced. The Sway Bar Links have a grease zert on one end. Delivered on time and again impressed with the quality. Hopefully I do not have to do this again but would purchase the same product. Also 10-year warranty.

I bought this set mostly for the shocks / struts / springs. Fit is exact as you would expect and including new hardware is appreciated. Getting all four corners with springs pre-installed for the price of two bare shocks is a pretty amazing value. Throwing in the end-links as well is what pushed me over the edge in picking this specific item. The links are okay. They're fine a few days after install, but I'm cautious about long-term performance. Be aware that they are not sealed and will require grease (and probably a grease gun) to use them properly. This is not apparent in the product photo and not noted in the description. The grease zerks on mine were a little loose and I had difficulty tightening a couple of them down enough so that I couldn't unscrew them with my fingers. Also be aware that the new fasteners on the links are different than the stock ones you'll be taking off. Stock flange nuts have a 17mm head, but the ones included with this kit are 18mm. You'll need a box or open end wrench for the bottom (top can fit a socket) since there's not enough clearance for a socket wrench. Check your wrenches before you start working, because 18mm is sometimes excluded from a lot of metric wrench sets! You'll also probably want a set of locking thin-nosed pliers to hold the other side of the end link bolts while tightening the nut, otherwise it will just spin in place. Each shock / strut comes individually packed in its own box. Each front/rear pair is then packed in a plain cardboard box for shipping. I thought that the end links were missing from my order, but they are packed inside one of the four boxes, so make sure to check all of them before worrying.

I have an 07 MDX that my daughter was using as her daily driver. She complained that it wasn't riding very well. I took it for a drive and, oh my, it was terrible. It handled poorly and clunked and bounced over every little bump. I immediately hopped on Amazon looking for front and rear shocks and struts. I have always had good luck with Detroit Axle parts, so I ordered this kit with confidence. The parts that arrived were all the perfect fit and the installation was straightforward. I took it to the shop for an alignment when I was finished (recommended after changing the outer tie rod ends), and voila, it was driving like a dream once again. Detroit Axle for the win again! *It may sound like it, but I am was not paid for this review. When you can't go OEM, Detroit Axle is the best!
