Gold plated gridwire Lions
I recently purchased a new class A tube amplifier in October on Amazon at a great deal it has been used almost daily for 8-10 hours a day for TV and Music ,It sounded great with the Stock tubes but 1 of the Ps vane KT 88's concerned me because of its heater filament was about 2 times as bright as the other one .My amp's bias isn't adjustable but I switched places on the KT88's and it was the tube.After running the Gold Lions for at least 300 hours I am still happy with their performance in my system powering my Tannoy speakers.

The Gold Lion tubes were a replacement for the original Gold Lion which lasted over eight years.

Not Sure How Well Matched They Were
When installed and biased, one of these tubes was quite noisy (Hum and Crackling). After a break-in period and a slight reduction in the bias voltage from what was recommended, the crackling is gone and the hum is only noticeable if I put my ear down near the amp. The other tubes were fine from the beginning and the quad sounds better than the Chinese tubes that they replaced.

A pair of awesome tubes!
This pair of KT88 really kicks once they are warmed up after 30mins. Class A mode sounds really awesome! I paired them with Tung Sol NOS 6SN7 for the input. The soundstage is wide and clear. The base extension is really nice.
