Fun to read, easy to follow... I bet you'll plunge into writing your book as soon as you finish How to Write a Book.
David Kadavy has such a natural, free-flowing writing style, it's easy to believe that the book sprang full-fledged from his mind, like Athena out of Zeus's skull. If you read How to Write a Book--and I recommend you do just that--you'll find that he actually has a well-defined method and his books go through at least two drafts before the final version is ready to publish. How to Write a Book is readable, practical, and motivational. The author doesn't make the process seem hopelessly complex so that he can wow you with a bunch of esoteric but expendable information. His success speaks for itself. Read this book!

the most important thing
is not 'how to' write a book, but that the 'how' becomes obvious when you have the right motivation to write a book - to contribute something dazzling and brilliant to this beautiful world. in this case, the author's motivation was to write "a book" quick, and it shows. I have never written a book, but I would rather never write a book - than to write a book full of hot air. please tell me I'm being negative when I am just being truthful here.

Short, well-organized, filled with tips and examples
Solid explanation of becoming and staying motivated to write, not just a book, but any long work. Short and well organized All information with little filler. Kadavy also throws in great tips on how to create a book people will want to pickup and continue reading. Plan to keep on hand as a reference and these recommendations this week.

How to Get Going
I am a writer. I have published books in the past... but I haven't written much of anything in ten years. Now I feel empowered - I have an 11-step plan to break through the procrastination. This book is a quick read - thirty minutes or less. But the information is invaluable.

Such an inspiration
I absolutely loved this book. David Kandavy made me inspired enough to write my first draft. As soon ssup I finished this book, I started right away. On the first day, I started with 250 words to write in my draft. I use David’s habits and I add 50 words each day. This book had made it’s mark and every time I think about my draft, one of David’s mantra’s pop into my head. Before I read this book, I was procrastinating about writing my first draft. Then after I read this book I thought about one of David’s mantras. “We don’t get to live forever”. I started right away writing my draft. No excuses. This book is such an inspiration to writers who want to write a book but don’t know how. Thank you David Kandavy for an amazing book.

Interesting ideas make you think outside the narrow thinking of most of us
Great book to make you think. I’ve already read “Mind Management Not Time Management” and “Heart to Start”. I debated on buying this book and I am glad I did. Yes, parts of it are common sense, but there are little tidbits that really push a person to do more, things I never would have thought about, like publishing daily. What a terrifying thought for me, and yet I can see the value of it.I’m at a point in my life where I’ve already written a fiction trilogy with over 300k words total, 10 years ago. I don’t need the heart to start, I need the heart to start again. I’ve hidden behind my words, mired in perfectionism, needing the motivation to finish this and put it to bed. David has given me the tools to get moving again. I’ll need to rework the first book again and learn to say good enough. I’m implementing creative processes to just sit down and do it, one little bit at a time. I’m setting my goals and finally getting back to it.

Reminders of the obvious steps
This is a very very short series of notes most of which say very very obvious things.

Short concise to the point advice from a pro author
The false beliefs were really helpful and the point about not focusing on structure, and story while at the first draft is a real productivity boost. The author is a strong believer of tiny habits and yes it works... This way you set yourself up for success without stressing out and burning out!
