Avoid
I never got to see if this gimbal was any good because it was faulty. One of the gimbal locks did not lock the arm in the correct position, so it was impossible to balance the camera. Took ages to get any meaningful response from support (China I think) so returned to Amazon for a full refund. Purchased the DJI Ronin as a replacement. Motto of the story - stick with tried and tested brands.

Won't stop vibrating
First, presentation is nice, however, I have another gimbal from Hohem that came with an actual carrying case which is way nicer than a box with a handle. Second, FeiyuTech support is very pleasant to deal with but very slow and ultimately was unable to help me with my problem. I would email them at midnight and they would reply 23 hours later which happened 3 times in a row. They were unable to offer a real solution. Third, the Scorp 2 will not stop vibrating. I have it perfectly balanced as verified by both the app and by support who I sent a video of proof. The tilt motor won't stop vibrating and it would transmit what sounds like an A/C line hum into the camera's audio. Fourth, the replacement Scorp 2 was 50x worse. When I put it on the ground, it feels like sitting in an old car with an unbalanced 4 cylinder engine, idling at too low of an RPM, with 3 broken motor mounts. Besides being completely problematic, the battery does not last all that long and also tends to heat up, probably both related to the vibration. The 2nd Scorp 2 lasted maybe 2 minutes and turned off. The 1st Scorp 2 lasted probably around 15 minutes from a full charge. Real shame, I really wanted to like the Scorp 2. I'll be sticking to my Hohem MT2. Not nearly the same weight class but at least the Hohem MT2 works. Unrelated, but the 2nd Scorp 2 had the GUI on Chinese by default. The first one was English.

Works well, great app control, terrible setup.
I am a multi award winner full time filmmaker since 2012. My camera I got at 12 years old (40+ years ago). I am a DJI Ronin user. I currently own the RS3 so my review is from a Ronin user perspective. This is not a run an gun gimbal. The setup and balancing are TERIBLE. If you are a solo filmmaker and you are the only one who will work with this gimbal, AND there will be no lens change or any other change, great gimbal. If you need something that is multi user and will require different configurations on set, pass on. I believe is is a higher end Consumer grade gimbal, if so, great gimbal for what it is. Bottom line the stabilization is excellent. On par with DJI. The app is actually better than DJI with a lot more features that I did not test. If you are a Vlogger and film yourself mostly, I think all the fluff in the app is great. If you work on a film set (as I do) I have NEVER used apps to control the gimbal on set, or any of the other fluffy stuff. When you are on the clock the director expects you to deliver what he/she wants on time. So depending on apps for control are completely out of the picture (pun intended). I'm sure there is someone out there that has mastered the apps, well not me. OK The bad stuff now - I think the engineers were high when they figured out that you need to puzzle together 4 parts that are NOT intuitive in order to set up the gimbal. If you are on set and need to do it quickly, not for you. If you are solo and will set up once and leave it ready FOREVER, then great gimbal. There is NO way to do micro adjustments. It is painful to balance. So this is not a gimbal for changing setup. If you will use the same camera / lens / battery, etc. for the whole shoot, great gimbal. No auto lock when turned off. But that is all for the bad stuff. The Good Stuff now - After it is balanced the operation is smooth and simple. Turn it on and go. I have not played with the multiple setups I just used PF (which is what I use 95% of the time on set). Very responsive and smooth. It does what you want it to do. It turns with you. Very good. Have not had a chance to use the camera controls but the amount of cables included are actually scary. Looks like there are 20 cables, perhaps even one for a disposable camera (JK). The app is fast and has great features. Auto Balancing is simple and fast, auto tune is simple and fast. DJI need to look at this one. From front shot to upside down - A breeze! The gimbal turned quick and no hiccups to upside down and back to normal. Way better than DJI. The joystick is responsive and a tad sensitive, just like all other gimbals. Apparently there are settings on the app to adjust that. Did not play with it. Payload is about 5lb so no big lens on this one (don't quite understand why people put a 200mm/f2.8 on a gimbal). So bare in mind camera setup for the SCOPR 2 So I gave it 5 stars because it is a Prosumer gimbal and for that reason it is a great gimbal. Again, not for a film set, but for weddings or Vlogger, great device.

Good video companion
I really liked the way the device was held. It was very easy to use, and the battery lasted a while, so far. I wasn't thrilled with the fact that it couldn't be easily replaced, but it looks like I won't have any issues with that for a while.

No customer service exists SCAM
My new SCORP 2 will not work because it continues to say update firmware. I reached out to company and they a phone number that does not exist. Donโt buy, itโs a scam. Call customer service before you purchase save yourself the headache and not to mention how pricey it is. I decided to go to DJI so I could talk to a real person

Head and shoulders above the leading brand. Easy and reliable piece of kit.
Despite working in professional video production for years, I never really bought into the gimbals hype, and so I had never used one prior to this. I'd watched enough videos about different ones, and I braced myself for a long learning curve and a bunch of unusable footage from the first few outings with it. Well, I've used this thing for about half a dozen lengthy shoots at this point, and it has exceeded my expectations. I've taken it to concerts, on a 5K (running), and other calmer shoots and it's performed admirably in every one. Setup is a breeze, and basically involves assembling and balancing the gimbal with your camera on it. It's good that it's simple, because you have to do it every time you set it up to use it. Once you get the hang of it, though, you can do it on autopilot. Once it's set up and calibrated, this thing pretty much runs itself. There's some really thoughtful decisions made in the design of this thing that make using it a real pleasure. I shoot a lot from low angles, so the ability to flip this thing upside down and back up without making adjustments is absolutely huge for me. The motors are more than adequate to manage my Sony FX3 with a zoom lens. The internal battery charges quickly, and sips power even when being used hard. I got amazing footage with this the first time I took it out. And unlike the leading brand's products, it doesn't require a sketchy registration process and throw a hissy fit if it can't call back to servers in the home country every ten seconds... it just works. HUGE plus for me. My only gripes (and they are small) are: I wish the thumb stick was a *bit* less sensitive, or had adjustable sensitivity. The tilt and pan features would allow for some really elegant shots if it was just a bit less touchy. I also REALLY wish it came with some kind of custom case. It's difficult enough to transport because of it's size/shape and because it pretty much needs to be fully disassembled to lie flat. I've kind of settled on carrying it around in a soft laptop bag but oh boy would I love a custom hard case for this thing. I liked this one so much I bought a second as a backup and it's the first and only one I recommend when folks ask me what gimbal they should be looking it. Don't sleep on this one.
