I've had these "pest scarers" now for more than 3 weeks. I've tested them as best I can and certainly they detect movement exactly as described and the lights flash which confirms that. Of course I cannot hear anything because the alleged frequency of sound is inaudible to humans (very convenient!). At first I was pleased as I saw no cats, badgers or foxes in my garden and also saw no traces that they had been there. However a couple of days ago I looked out of my bedroom window early in the morning to see a fox digging in my lawn and taking no notice whatsoever of the so called scarer although I could see the lights flashing. I went outside to chase it away and it went into another part of the garden where I found it calmly looking at me while the lights of another scarer were flashing but not having any effect on the fox. I think I have given them a fair test and found them not fit for purpose and will be returning them.

I ordered two of these items. They arrived quickly and in good order so I was pleased to place them in the areas of my garden where cat fouling had become a problem. I was disappointed, however, to find that only one of the scarers functioned well. It works well, requiring an occasional charge to keep it functioning properly. The other, however, loses charge and cannot be topped up either by the solar panel or the USB connecter so is unusable. I have been unable to find the procedure for returning faulty goods via the Amazon website so have decided to cut my losses and resolve not to purchase again as the reliability of this product is questionable.

Bought this for a change as I had purchased other cat scarers before but found the batteries didn't last very long so was attracted to this because of it being solar-powered. After using it for a few weeks I am impressed, there have been no cat incursions so it seems to be doing its job. Although the instructions you get with it state that you have to charge it out of the box I found mine was already charged and the sunny weather we have had so far seems to be keeping it charged. I also like the fact that it flashes LEDs to show that the movement sensor has been activated, my previous scarers bleeped every time you passed them which does get a bit annoying.Update: Oh dear, has now stopped working. As it doesn't take a battery there doesn't seem to be anything you can do, will have to just throw it away and replace it with the Rentokil product, which at least works.

Very satisfied with this device, practical in every way. A compact device, build quality and feel is very good and can be charged by the sun or when needed by USB. I have had the device for 1 month and I have charged it twice via USB (more of a top up charge than the device being dead and not operating).Most importantly the device has had the desired effect with almost instant results. My neighbour was so impressed that he has also purchased a couple and my colleague at work has also just made a purchase and is reporting positive results.If you have a cat problem and nothing else has worked you need to purchase this (bit A Team there for those of a certain age 😉)Hope this helps.

I purchased this as the end of our garden by the front gate seems to have become our neighbour's cat's toilet and has begun to stink, I tried pepper and other routes but finally decided to give this scarer a go.Firstly this is easy to setup and the instructions seemed clear enough, I need to see how it gets on with the level of sun in the average British winter but I am hopeful as it should not actually be activated for that long each day so may be OK with the lower solar charging. The scarer comes well packed and after joining the two sticks to create a post and adding the scarer on the top it was ready to go (nice design feature is that the post when added covers the charging point so no water is getting in there). I then picked my place and pushed the unit into the ground, a lovely loud crack was heard but has not seemed to have done any damage, so be careful when pushing into the ground as I am not sure how much force this can take.The scarer is set to level 1 and an intensity around 2/3 of the way on the dial, the first as I am trying to scare a cat and the second as this was when it picked me up at the furthest extent of the area I am trying to protect, be aware that there is a warning about moving from one level to another in the instructions and that you need to go to off between levels rather than directly switching.I will update this if it fails to work but so far I haven't seem the cat, whether due to this or the weather I am unsure.One note, I can't hear the tone but my kids can, this is supposedly an age thing as the older you get the less range you have when it comes to hearing, if you have small children you may want to be careful where you put this, both of mine describe it as a horrible sound OR optionally, if you haven't got kids and don't want any visiting... ;-)

Très bien, ultrason puissant, fonctionne sur environ 20m carré sans soucis (l'appareil est dans un coin). Cependant je doute que cela arrive à capter les petits oiseaux ou souris. Seul problème, j'ai acheté 3 appareils, dans les 3, 2 des 3 piles rechargeables étaient HS (totalement déchargées et impossible à charger)J'ai donc du acheter 6 piles rechargeables.. SVP les piles ne doivent pas être mise dans l'appareil avant la vente.. ou alors mettez un bout de plastique entre les contacts des piles. il suffit que le carton reste une année en stock pour que les batteries prennent un coup, c'est sûrement ce qui a dû arriver.

Does the job well. Seems well made. Cats now using a separate path to get into the garden, so will purchase another!

L'oggetto è stato acquistato per tenere lontani i gatti dalla soglia di casa e dallo zerbino che usavano come gabinetto per i propri bisogni poiché la scala comune è aperta verso l'esterno. Dall'installazione (ad altezza gatto) avvenuta ormai da qualche mese non ho più avuto "sorprese"!!! L'oggetto ha una buona durata della batteria (circa un mese) nonostante sia posizionato in posizione non direttamente illuminata e funzioni più volte al giorno (grazie al sensore di presenza) ai nostri passaggi in entrata ed uscita da casa. La regolazione degli ultrasuoni e della sensibilità del sensore si è dimostrata utile per non disturbare terzi e con il posizionamento strategico di un portaombrelli ho ridotto la "vista" del sensore alla sola soglia di casa. Prodotto dimostratosi veramente utile.

Sur les deux appareils achetés, un fonctionne normalement quand vous passez dans le champ le détecteur s'allume, et l'autre je ne sais pas car il ne se passe rien. Il faut voir à long terme si les chats indésirable reviennent ou pas, trop tôt pour se prononcer. Sinon la livraison a été conforme et avec les mails d'infos qui précèdent la livraison rien à redire.
