What batteries does this still require?

There aare compatible batteries but in fact I found a Makita battery for it on Ebay at a much more reasonable price than on Amazon.

Is this powerful on hammer action?

No it is not - it will not even drill in a 3mm drill bit in brick work - for this you need the Makita DHR 17 12v or 18v it’s the cheapest SDS and can be bought for about 110 GBP without battery

Does this drill come with battery?

No. Just the drill. You need a battery and charger. Best to buy all together. You risk batteries not fitting chargers and drills if you buy them separately.
