ACME636 Safety Whistle Luminous

What can I say? It glows in the dark, attaches to a cord of my choice, and makes an ear-piercing sound when blown, even when wet. That's all I could ask for from this safety whistle, really.I noticed that some people said it's tough to blow on whistles of this type, but I didn't have to try hard at all. One word of caution: It's LOUD and HIGH-pitched. (I believe it has a dual pitch, but I couldn't stand to listen to it long enough to determine that.) If you plan to blow it indoors, I recommend ear protection. My ears hurt after 2 tries. Poor dogs in range of this thing will go nuts!The one thing I didn't like about the whistle is that it didn't come with an attached cord. Minor detail, and I'm sure some people prefer it without the cord since it can also be attached to a key chain, zipper, or anything else with a loop.

The Acme 636 Tornado whistles are the loudest small whistles I have found, and are a bit lower in pitch (which is good, lower pitch carries farther) than the other small whistles I've tried. Perfect for an Alroids tin emergency kit, and can be carried in many ways/places w/o taking up much space. However, the loudest whistles I've tried, and which also take the least effort to be loud, are the (larger) Storm and Windstorm whistles and they are my #1 choice to pack/carry when I have the space.

It glows in the dark & its pretty easy to blow. Also, it is very light weight so, it is perfect for my key ring. The glow in the dark feature is great when I'm hunting for keys lost in my purse. I have pushbutton alarms & pepper spray attached to my purses & brief cases. However, since I often walk from buildings at night across parking lots to my car, I walk with my keys out & in hand. This is great for attaching to keys since it weighs nothing & is loud if you need it.

Super small but will blow your eardrums if necessary. I'm a runner, so I carry this with me for three reasons primarily: (1) just in case I run across some creepy person who wants to do me harm and I need to alert anyone nearby; (2) to scare off dogs and other wildlife (I've been bitten on the hand by a dog before and suffered permanent nerve and tendon damage); and (3) for when I hit the trails or run a mountain in case help is needed (blown knee, ACL, etc.). I'm not old but I'm not young anymore either and that sort of thing happens.I bought one for my wife, too.I'd like to think everyone I come across running is a nice person, but that's just not reality. Criminals are opportunistic. A serial killer/rapist was recently nabbed after 10 years where I live. Not to mention, you just meet some weirdos running sometimes. Anyone who runs know this.The purpose of this purchase: to alert someone of danger or when help is needed. And while I hope I never have to use it, if I do, I have it.

Eh. I like the size and that it glows. You have to blow pretty forcefully to make any sound come out though.

Slim, compact, and durable, this whistle can generate some serious decibels. It is luminous, but only for a short period of time after being exposed to strong light. I have it attached to my Acebeam K-30 flashlight lanyard so I have it handy on my before-dawn and after-dusk dog walks. The flat profile also makes it ideal for keychain or pocket carry. Recommended.

強く吹けば大音量がでます↑↑↑コンパクトで軽いのに凄まじい音‼️弱く吹くとあまり音がでません。キャンプや登山だけでなく EDC として使用しています。蓄光みたいな感じで、明るい場所から、暗い場所に行くと蛍光緑みたいに見えます。暗闇で探すのに便利かもしれません。(そんなに明るくはありませんが)緊急時の備えに、オススメです。

薄くて大きさも手頃で、ザックにアクセサリーカラビナで取り付けるのにちょうどいい。
