These are SO EASY TO USE, and I'm a dork.
I really wish I'd bought these refills sooner. I bought two of the identity protection stamps a long time ago and used the everyloving heck out of them - we get a ridiculous amount of junk mail that I used to shred and shred and shred. It was endless. I literally threw my back out from sitting on the floor in front of the shredder for too long (getting old stinks), so I tried switching to the stamps and they're perfect. When I ran out of ink on the main stamp that I used upstairs (and can I just say these stamps last a LONG time!) I saw that there were refills but I figured it would be a pain in the butt, so I threw the stamp away. Then I took a chance, bought these refills since the other stamp ran out, and now I'm kicking myself for tossing that first stamp because these refills are SO EASY. I am a complete goober, so if I can do this you definitely can do this. I had a random grocery store bag that had a rip in it (I usually use them for trash bags, heeee) so I laid it down on the counter as a layer of protection, laid the stamp on its side as per the instructions and popped open a refill and squeezed it in. That's literally it. You leave it on its side for 5 minutes and then cap it and don't use it for an hour. Easy. I didn't even end up needing the bag since this made zero mess. (I still recommend it though - with me, the more prevention the better.) It is WAY cheaper to refill these, it's totally worth it!! The stamp works perfectly like its brand new and completely blocks out sensitive information. I've been using it for days since refilling it and it hasn't leaked once.

Doesn't completely black out without rolling over many times. The original ink roller with ink covers much better. Not impressed and doesn't seal.

I absolutely love my Trodat ID PROTECTOR ROLLER STAMP and highly recommend keeping these refills on hand. Easy to use and well worth the money and protection. Yes, I would recommend this product.
