SUNVIE 300W Low Voltage Landscape Transformer with 2 Independent Control Output Landscape Lighting Transformer with Timer and Photocell Sensor 120V AC to 12/14V AC Weatherproof Low Voltage Transformer

I first purchased this 300-watt transformer in September 2025. It worked perfectly for 9 months then started acting erratically. My landscape lights would either come on at dusk but turn off shortly afterwards or would not come on at all. I contacted Sunvie customer service via e-mail, and they responded immediately with some trouble shooting suggestions. When I tried these suggested trouble shooting options it did not fix my problem, so Sunvie sent a replacement transformer immediately. Although I was disappointed that my original transformer had issues, the customer service from Sunvie was fantastic! Note that they have a one-year warranty so my issues at 9-months fell within the warranty period. I originally purchased this transformer because it had all the options I was looking for, most prominently: 1. The 300-watt rating gave me plenty of power to add additional lights later. 2. The two independently controlled zones are what I was looking for to control all my landscape lighting needs. (Zone 1 controls the 26 LED lights on the fence posts along my driveway and the 10 LED lights on my back deck steps. Zone 2 controls the 6 old incandescent lights on my retaining wall and the 4 old incandescent lights underneath the benches on my front deck.) 3. The timing feature I want is "On at Dusk" (with an optical sensor) and "Off at a set time of day". (I did not want one that just came on at dusk and off 4, 6 or 8 hours later.) I wanted the lights to come on at dusk and off at midnight regardless of what season it is. Not all transformers have this feature. 4. A 14-volt connection option for longer runs of lights. I have been very happy with this transformer and the customer service I received from Sunvie. I would recommend this product.

Easy installation, works great and arrived a day early.

Customer Service is top notch! The unit worked very well, easy to program and has memory so no loss of programming with a power outage. However, I had a unusual issue where the surge protector failed. I wrote Sunvie and had a reply the very next morning. They had me run a few tests and video the negative results. Every morning I woke to a helpful reply from China to further questions I had. Took only 3 or 4 days, and they sent me a new transformer which arrived in 2 days from Amazon. Kind, helpful, punctual help!

Great product that's simple to install and operate , even if you've never used one. The dual zone and photocell features and high quality should not be underestimated

This transformer was easy to program, easy to install and looks pretty good on the outside of the house as well. I did have an issue about two months in where both zones would turn on when I turn on zone two, I emailed Customer Service and a couple days later I had a replacement. They stand behind their product!

Solid quality transformer with two separate zones and multiple timer options (4, 6, 8 hours, or dusk-to-dawn). It works well and feels well built. The only drawback is the lack of a simple on/off switch—you have to cycle through the modes to turn it off, which isn’t very convenient. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

I used to put colored cells on my 20-year old landscaping lights during the holidays, but the effort to do so combined with the age of the lights and transformers made it harder each year as they became less reliable, especially the transformer with a non-functional timer and random shutdown. SO - right before Halloween, I replaced everything with Sunvie landscape lights, added pathlights, and of course a new 300W transformer. First of all, they are simple to install: the transformer mounts easily, and as long as you have an electric screwdriver for the 3 screws per landscape light, a utility knife to separate the power cable, and a willingness to screw on many caps, you can have 10 lights up in a little over an hour, start to finish. It took about 3 hours total to do the 8 pack of landscape lights and 12 pack of path lights, plus the transformer. Next, they look great. Both the whites and the colored LEDs are bright, the short and long range controllers work exactly as advertised to allow individual customization. I used the 2 zones on the transformer to separate the path lights from the spotlights and the timers to set up different schedules. My only warning is that you should probably use 14 gauge wire - I used 12 and it made twisting on some of the caps just a little bit difficult because there wasn't much space to get them started. Still, 12 worked fine, I just had to give my fingers a rest after screwing off and then back on the sum total of 68 little caps, at least half of them with the wire fighting me the whole way. Last, I saw in some reviews that they received dead lights; every light in my set worked properly the first time. Could not be happier with this purchase.

It's not waterproof. I mounted it outside. It worked fine for 2 months. After a day that saw 4" of rain, I saw a drop of water at the bottom at the overload reset fitting. I picked it off its mount and shook. Water inside. I opened it up, removing 6 screws, to pour the water out. I handled it gently as the top is connected to the display and buttons. I left the open transformer out in the sun for the afternoon. Once it appeared to be dry inside, I closed it up, reconnected it, and mounted it at a protected location. I plugged it in. Display seemed normal. Then.... A list of malfunctions, odd displays, and non-responsive buttons were seen. The next day, I turned on the lights, hoping the transformer was functional. Lights came on. A few minutes, they all flashed at a regular interval. I sequenced through the settings. No change. I left the lights like that. Came back (at least) 10 minutes later. All lights on. I left them like that. 30 minutes later, came back to set the clock. Was unable to set the clock (I had the instructions.) The transformer is unusable.
