It appears handmade, which is what I wanted, but it is most definitely the product of a skilled artist. I've only had the clock a few days, but it keeps time as expected. The second hand movement is continuous, which is quite nice. My only slight negative comment (more of just an advisory) is that the clock mechanism is audible (only within a few feet). But regardless of that, I am really overjoyed with the product and would highly recommend it.
