Buy Far Sector: DC Compact Comics Edition 1 by Jemisin, N K, Campbell, Jamal (ISBN: 9781779527295) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: PEAK. - My favourite out of all the compacts not gonna lie. Review: A really engaging tale that requires no prior knowledge of Green Lantern or DC continuity - Went into this story completely blind as to what it was and was very pleasantly surprised by it. The story is a very interestingly constructed murder mystery centered around a new Green Lantern from Earth hunting a serial killer in a city within a fairly "unique" civilization called "The City Enduring" consisting of 3 separate species coexisting after their homeworlds were destroyed centuries earlier. The artwork in this book is superb. Jamal Campbell does a great job bringing to life the alien City Enduring in a way that few artists could have pulled off I feel, and N K Jemisin does an equally great job in creating a rich universe with a deep backstory without relying on any kind of superhero tropes or DC continuity to tell the story. It is accessible in a way few DC books manage to be for newcomers or those who are out of the loop on recent status quo changes. I'd highly recommend it, despite a couple of minor complaints regarding a lack of closure on a couple of the more minor subplots of the story and some eye-rollingly outdated references centred around the AI aliens who live on internet memes.

Best Green Lantern since Geoff Johns imho
Incredible book. One of the best new books I've read in a long time. The writer gets how to craft an exciting story, that hits classic storytelling tropes with a unique modern twist. The act is crisp and clean, with it popping off on the page, compliments the story well. And we have a new character who is interesting, and has you caring about her outcome.

Fantastic
As a green lantern newbie I really enjoyed the mix of detective mystery and politics. Well written with beautiful art work.

Far Sector by N.K. Jemisin and Jamal Campbell is an absolute masterpiece that grips you from the first page and doesn’t let go. Lantern Mullein is thrust into a mystery on a planet where emotions have been suppressed for centuries to prevent violence, only for someone to take drugs that restore feelings—leading to murder. The layers of this story, from its intricate worldbuilding to its mind-bending twists, kept me hooked, feeling like I was being pulled into an ocean of intrigue. The emotional rollercoaster had me in tears, and the combination of Jemisin’s incredible storytelling and Campbell’s stunning art creates a perfect, immersive experience. Every chapter is a visual and narrative feast, and the final act feels like a plunge into chaos as everything unravels in the most satisfying way. This is a 10/10, 5-star must-read that left me wishing I could stay in its beautifully crafted world forever. If you love gripping mysteries, complex worlds, and emotional depth, don’t hesitate—read this now!

Buen comic, la historia me ha gustado aunque espero que saquen un volumen en este formato del linterna verde de la tierra, sin embargo me lo he leido con gusto.
