Been keeping an eye on these for a while and when it dropped in the Prime Day sale, I just had to pick one up. Been wanting one of these to use with my Steamdeck as love the system but loved the idea of playing on a big screen at 120hz and not have to keep staring down. Simple to setup and easy to use, simple plug and play and you are gaming on a cinema size screen. Going to pick up the Beam as well as want to use on my PC and gaming consoles. Yet to try the functionality of the glasses for work related tasks but with ease of Bluetooth keyboard, mouse etc I would think this would be a great setup for people travelling whilst working.

The clarity and sharp image quality is outstanding on these Xreal Air 2 pro AR glasses when using them with the Beam pro. I’m new to the AR glasses scene but the main reason I bought this set up was to take 3D photographs and videos with the Beam pros dual 50mp camera then view them back via the Air 2 glasses, the images look awesome and sharp with vivid colours, it has auto focus which is a big help when taking 3D images, you can move and enlarge the virtual screen to anywhere you want and I find it quite surreal watching a film placed against a wall or whilst sitting in the garden! ( you can also view Amazon prime video Netflix etc all via the app from the beam pro to these AR glasses) I have also watched 3D blu ray movies on the beam pro/Air 2’s and again the image quality is outstanding ! The glasses has 3 dimmable modes ranging from almost full black out to almost clear which helps with viewing the images or videos in different situations or locations. The set up was kind of ok as I let the beam pro copy the apps from my Google 6 pro then after the usual setting up of Wi-Fi etc I was ready to go after a quick update for the glasses after connecting them for the first time I love these glasses for the uses listed above so if you are into this kind of thing I can whole heartedly recommend the Xreal Air 2 Pro! Update... 4 months on and while I'm still happy with my purchase of the glasses and Beam pro for watching TV and using the 3d camera the Beam pro & glasses have had ...zero..... ZERO UPDATES to the beam Pro / Xreal 2 Pro's ! There are quite a few niggles and bugs that are present and I would have thought Xreal would be constantly addressing them but I feel they are too focused on persuing their new products to care about existing ones. So please be aware that when buying into this medium you will be stuck with a product that wmught not progress any further than the initial update.

I bought this really wanting to like it. It is a premium feeling and looking product with quality displays built in. I just couldn't find a use that it was fit for. I wanted to use it as an additional monitor while working but no matter where I positioned them on my head, anything outside of the center of view is blurry with no way of configuring Overscan to make it smaller. The 46 degrees of FOV is noticeably smaller than any VR headset and even more of an eyesore than I first thought it would be. It's very jarring when using the official app on Android to have full windows cut off in what almost feels like the center of your FOV. Lastly, they are too small for me. I tried every combination of nose piece and arm adjustments (which need more force than I was comfortable with to move) and they just did not fit my head. The arms have a lot more give to them than regular glasses so they weren't painfully squeezing my head but they weren't comfortable. I have a larger head than most so I likely fall out of their target range but it's worth noting. I encourage you to really think about what you want to be using these for before buying. They are a cool piece of tech but they will very quickly become a paperweight if you have no use for them.

I bought this review because I liked the design and the appeal and was super excited to try an immersive mixed reality experience boy was I wrong. Firstly, the product is nice. Build quality is excellent and it feels like a high quality product. However, there’s barely any instructions out the box. Tried to power on? No idea how. Then I realised this device doesn’t have a battery which is strange considering earlier versions did. Immediately connected to my phone and it came to life but first thing I noticed was that despite visual quality being pretty good and clarity and brightness were there. The device just wasn’t rendering anything clearly. So much noise, artefacts. Tried several apps and bumped up 4k on YouTube and because it’s limited to the casted size of the device the quality was terrible. I then tried it with the Beam which the device should have come with and what a waste of time that was. I had a faint smell of burning and heat from the device. It was incredibly laggy, did updates and all it had was Prime and Netflix. Tried to sign into Prime took over 20 minutes due to the incredibly laggy keyboard. Once in, the quality was terrible. Again, so much artefacts on the screen. The quality was terrible. The screen also started drifting and the navigation was terrible I was pressing all these buttons 50x to get different things. Overall, the device was terrible. Made me feel sick with the screen drifting despite supposedly in a lock. This product is not designed for those buying it on Amazon. They expect you know how to use the product without a simple guide. Who thought this through??

I didn't know what to expect but with prime I thought I can return them if they are rubbish. I was disappointed slightly at first because I didn't have the beam and the corners are blurry and the whole experience isn't great just with a phone but if you add the beam it is a game changer. The screen is clear in all angles if you use body anchor mode on the beam and it gets rid of motion sickness that I get with vr, just feels like a static tv to me. I loaded all my favourite apps on to the beam and now I use it at dinner to get some r&r that I never used to get. These will be great on a flight or train journey with a few hours of downloads and a battery pack. I do suggest you only try these with the beam or you may be disappointed like I was at first and like other reviews have said, the edges are blurry, that is without the beam and I nearly returned them if it wasn't for amazon prime

I bought these glasses along with the Beam Pro. We’ve just had a 35 hours drive from the uk to Hungary and my partner enjoyed every second of it (I was the driver of course) she watched 2 seasons of “Orange is the new black” in the back seat. No headache, no issues. Had it connected to the glasses, a pair of earphones and to a power bank. She said it was one of the greatest cinema like experience. Let’s not forget about the amazing team and the great customer support the offer! I would definitely recommend!

I owned these for a few weeks and used them for a few hours a day before deciding to return them as although the techology is brilliant, there were a few issues which I couldn't ignore. 1. This might be down to each individual, but found that my eyes seemed to be more tired and strained after about 30mins of use (watching videos). I tried tunring down to lowest brightness but this was still quite bright. 2. The field of view is quite narrow, in that it won't provide the immersion I personally expected, like watching a movie in a cinema. I tried a friend's Meta Quest 3 and that provides much better immersion, but appreciate they are different types of products. This is more like looking into a big TV/monitor screen but without the clarity - people who wear glasses/contact lenses will probably need to get prescriptions for the included clip - likely to be £100+ I've seen other competitive devices have a diode to adjust the lenses. 3.Compatibility was my biggest gripe - I expected because it's USB C, I could use any video cable USB C cable in case the original one provided got damaaged. I tried over 10 different cables and none provided the same functioanly as the cable it came with. Some of these cables were quite expensive and listed as Xreal Air compatible which were not fully - you can use them to mirrow phone, but when playing video e.g. YouTube, the glasses screen went black (audio was still playing) Also tried USB C to HDMI dongles for connecting to other devices - worked for Nintendo Switch, but when connecting Xbox Series X, got a black screen with vertical flashing green bars. I tried different dongle and cable combinations and had same result and I gave up on the end. I've read the need to purchase the Beam, but this is another £120 expense in addtion to the Air 2 Pro which already costs £450 at the time of writing. I'm confident the functionality of the beam can be inlcuded in the glassesed or provided as a downloadable app for phones/tablets. Conclusion So, if you need a prescription lenses, want to connect to devices like consoles, the costs could be close to £700 (at the time of writing) I do like the idea of having a large screen which is so portable, so look forward to future iterations of this product (and it's competitors). As it is currently, I think the total cost is too high for what it is and finding a compatible 3rd party USB C cable is difficult

Very good ar glasses, i paired them with xreal phone-like device to store movies on the go and to save my own phone battery life. After longer use the beam device lasts about 4h of use. But the glasses outperforms the new Xreal One glasses! Downside is that you need prescription inserts-glasses inside of them, as you cant adjust them on their own for your eyes.
