No instructions, but straightforward. Ball will go inside hole when screw is loosened all the way.Construction allows it to b tilted, also quickly flips between portrait & landscape. Push tab expands arms, allowing phones of various sizes. Surprisingly secure cuz it doesn't move at all.So much better than my old windshield attaching one! (That one jiggles like crazy & is also unsightly).

Perfect for circular vents
I bought another cell phone holder for the vent and didn't realize it doesn't work on round vents. There is not much to choose from. I read some of the bad reviews, but then watched the video and decided to give it a try since Amazon is great about returns. This cell phone holder is perfect. Seconds to install and works very well. I did lots of driving where I need my GPS. Bumpy roads, highways, no issue, is secure. I love that it has the bottom holder as well for your phone. Perfect!

Holds the phone good, easy install, doesnt harm vent.
Pretty much said it all above. Quick delivery. Used in my f150 and mustang. Newer f150 didnt need it now, but the mustang needs it and it just works. I have had to tighten it a little once, but that could have been user error during install.

Not for S550 Mustang
I only use this in my 2022 Mustang if I am taking a long trip in an unfamiliar place. I will not leave this in my vent because I believe it will break my vent in time. It shakes loose and droops after a while on rough roads.

It works on my 2007 Shelby GT 500.
I have tried a number of holders and none worked. This fits the car and it is very secure.

Doesn’t fit or work.
DO NOT BUY. THAT SIMPLE. Bought this for the 2017 Ford Mustang, didn’t fit in the vents as shown, had to force it to go inside the vent, once inside it literally slides and flops around, tried to but my iPhone in the holder and fell out the holder, and holder fell out the vent. And that was with the car in a stationary position. Would hate to see this in a moving vehicle.

Not worth it.
We ordered a couple of these. One arrived broken and the other one broke shortly after installed. Not really worth the money, flimsy, light wieght, not the most durable plastic
