best purchase for the wood shop this year
WOW ! This is one awesome product .Works as advertised 100% .We do a lot of wood working and furniture restorations. Not one spec of saw dust entered the vacuum . We have used it on a planer , a table saw and a router table the savings on not having to purchase so many filters has already paid off our new best shop tool .

Works good.
Tested out on saw dust, worked 98% for me. Only a fraction of dust got to vacuum canister. Not sure of my hp of shop vac. Found using the supplied elbows does work better, otherwise restriction can start collapsing hose some. thinking the elbows drop vacuum some, so less collapsing. Agree possible weak point are the two locking tabs to bucket. Gasket slides in easy if you pinch it some. One day owning.

Easily One of My Favorite Purchases
This dust (water, dirt, etc.) collector does exactly what it says, making it worth every dollar. I use the product for sanding drywall, which is does a fantastic job collecting. The collector easily fits on 5 gallon buckets (sold separately) and contains enough hose to connect your shop vac to the collector and collection bucket. The product is straight-forward to use and light to move around.Using this product has one inconvenience - you'll need to move your shop vac and the collection bucket as you work. However, the hassle is worth it due to its effectiveness.

Easy setup. Works pretty well
Requires additional hose fitting for some vacs. Flat top cyclone clogs easily on larger material such as plane shavings, and corrugated hose causes a slight reduction in flow/power, as does the addition of 90° elbows. There are better options on the market, but this probably the best option in this price range.

Amazing, but...
This is pretty amazing, but for two caveats:1) Don't suck up bits of trash - a square of paper towel or a plastic bag will get caught in the vortex and require disassembly and extraction.2) Don't use those cheap orange buckets sold by a large home improvement store - if you block the hose, even briefly, the suction from a moderate shop vac will collapse those cheap buckets. Even though the orange with the new Pro model looks nice on an orange bucket, it's not going to work well for very long. (this isn't the fault of the Dustopper Pro, it works great with a standard, well-built white 5 gallon bucket.Other than those two caveats, for the intended use - separating out sawdust from work tools - this does exactly what it claims with only the very finest of dust particles continuing on to the shop vac. It's kind of like magic, actually, or some fancy parlor trick - I've sucked up six or seven gallons of shavings and finer sawdust and the inside of the shop vac looks nearly spotless.

Almost no dust in the vacuum
It works better than expected. Used for a home wood shop that also hooks up to a table saw. Almost no dust in the vacuum at all. I expected some and very little loss of flow. Very happy with this purchace.

Awesome dust collectors for smaller shops
Wow, this simple unit works amazingly. When I first received it I thought it was junk. I was using a Shop vacuum for my dust collection. It only works for short time until it gets full. Also the filter gets clogged very quickly and I had to be constantly cleaning it. I started to look into dust collectors but I was not ready to spend several hundred dollars for my small work shop. 2 car garage. By a chance I came across this unit on Anazon and decided to give it a try. Wow, it is truly amazing. Literally, no saw dust goes into the vacuum. It all goes into the 5 gallon container. Much easier to just empty it out instead of the vacuum container and filter. I attached pictures of my first use of it.

Dustopper keeps your shop vac efficient
This greatly improves a shop vac’s efficiency in the long term.Initially, I was concerned that the additional tubing and seal of the topper would reduce suction, but that has not been the case. My shop vac still pulls plenty of air, and if there is any loss of suction due to air leakage, it is definitely offset by the benefit of the filter not clogging with use. The dustopper does exactly what it is supposed to do, dropping most of the particles into the bucket so the vacuum chamber stays relatively clean. The one drawback of this is that it makes it harder to switch to blowing mode, but that doesn't matter since I have a compressor that can cover that.I made a simple mounting system out of pvc and particle board that keeps this in the same footprint as my shop vac alone. I might refine my design, but both it and the dustopper are working great for now.
