Way too big for Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
I have been searching for a new water bowl for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This bowl was a nice standard dish, but it was HUGE! Way to big for a Cavalier. Her ears went directly into the bowl when I put it in front of her. Definitely too big for small and medium size dogs

Basset hound- still drips water on the floors, but less water
I purchased to try to keep my dog's ears from dripping water all over the floor, and she CAN drink WITHOUT her ears going in but as soon as she walks away- either the left or right ear will fall in, depending on which way she walks away from her bowl- and drip water all over.... It's BETTER than the dog bowl we had with both ears in the water bowl while she was drinking, but unfortunately, this didn't work as well for us as I had hoped.I'm very happy we didn't spend too much money on it to find this out. Other similar bowls (with similar measurements) are significantly more expensive (3-4x as much)- so it's a great purchase to see if it works for your dog.

Long Ear Saver!
I have a 45 pound English Springer Spaniel and this bowl is awesome. Her ears stay much dryer than a regular bowl, but it really depends on how wild of a drinker your pup is. The image is what you get, much lighter weight than you expect. The base is plastic, so don’t buy it if your dog is prone to chewing on things that they aren’t supposed to.Yes, the bowl is deeper than it is wide. That’s the point of a Spaniel (long eared dog bowl) though.Don’t get this for a dog with a short snout (bulldog, pug, etc). Hope this helps alleviate negative reviews from people who buy it for the wrong type of animal.Definitely a solid choice (and inexpensive) for a long eared dog!

Super cute
I bought this for my spaniel, as her ears were always getting wet when she drank from a large bowl which our Golden Retriever has. So this saves her ears getting soaked which was why I bought it. But strangely enough, our golden retreiver will now only drink out of this bowl so I am forever filling it up. Might need to buy another one 🤣

Worked well for my use
Bought this for a medium sized dog who splashes water everywhere like she’s a big dog. Was constantly cleaning up water from her mat. This bowl solved that problem instantly. Instead of splashing everywhere the water stays contained.

Cocker Spaniel ears stay outside this food bowl.
I have a cocker spaniel whose ears always got into his food dish.This one works perfectly, keeping his ears on the outside so I don't have to clean food from this ears.
