Avana Mattress Elevator - Under Bed 7-Inch Incline Foam Support - Riser for Acid Reflux, GERD, and Sleep Relief - Twin

No lie — the night I got this, my sleep score jumped to the high 90’s! Zero acid reflux, zero issues breathing at night anymore. I got the 7 inch because you really want that height. It is super comfortable. Some people said they slid down but I had zero issue with that. It’s nice and firm so it doesn’t mush down. Great support. I hope it lasts because it’s the best single thing I have added to my health in a long time.

I like the product it's self, it's very sturdy. I like that it's eco-friendly and free from a lot of chemicals that are usually found in furniture products. Price is good, worth the priduct. I don't care for the hieght of it. Could make it in a inch or two shorter. Just a little to high for me making it hard to adjust to sleeping on incline for relux issues. I slide down my bed during the night. Incline makes my body a little achy for some reason. But it is way better for sleeping an incline than using the incline pillows that don't work at all for me, because I slide down and fall off them. So I would end up tossing the pillow off my bed, at least this way it is the whole bed instead of just a pillow. In that aspect I prefer it and it helps me and helps the reflux. Just wish it was sold in different heights for the incline to be a little lower which my gastro says a few inches lower would have been fine. And then maybe it wouldn't make me slide down or be achy at night.

I found this wedge to be perfect for my needs. I bought this to help with sleep apnea, plus I just like to have my head elevated, always have. The 7" elevation seems perfect, I would not want it to be less (5 inches) and any higher and I'd probably start to slide down the bed. I much prefer the full bed wedge verses just the pillow type wedges. I'm more comfortable being able to lie flat as opposed to bending my back to raise my head. Very much a personal choice. I did have one concern from reading the reviews before buying, and that was the firmness or compressibility. For me, being around 180lb, it does not seem to compress at all! Just to be clear, I place the wedge under my mattress, not on top of it. It arrived compressed and rolled up. I unwrapped it and let it swell to full size for a good 8 hours. Then placed it under the mattress and slept on it that night. I did not notice any odor. I'm very happy with this product and recommend it to others. Great quality and performance. Best of luck.

This wedge goes on easily under the bed and stays in place. I really needed the elevation because of reflux problems. I am thankful to have found it. Money well spent. Definitely helps with the health problem. Seems to be very good quality.

I had been looking for a way to elevate the head of my bed for relief of acid reflux and sinus problems. Bed risers did not work for me, nor did books or cinder blocks. So when I saw the Mattress Elevator, I was hopeful. Indeed, it turned out to be a good solution to the problem. It was easy to install and surprisingly comfortable, with no sliding down the bed. It feels very natural and the foam provides good support for my back too. Also, I found Customer Service at Avana to be excellent. I had quite a number of questions and concerns when I first received the product, and they responded to my questions promptly and in a way that made me feel reassured about my concerns. I like the fact that Avana products are made in the USA and they seem to really care about their customers.

I love this mattress wedge. I have suffered with night time acid reflux for years giving me broken sleep. I am sleeping so much better because my head is now elevated! Also mattress did not have a strong chemical smell when opened. 😁

Elevating my bed is something that's literally been on my TODO list for years as I suffer frequently from nighttime acid reflux. This is made much worse if I eat at night. My bed frame doesn't really lend itself to being inclined by putting things under the feet, though (it's one of those metal ones and that would put the legs at the wrong angle...they aren't strong enough for that). I just found this product, and it's exactly what I need. This wedge is made of open cell foam that comes vacuum packed and rolled up in a pretty small box. It pops into place quickly, though, and is ready to go right under the mattress. The slope is steep enough that you can tell it's there, but not so steep that you feel pushed down the mattress. I have a heavy, purple, mattress on top of it and I'm not a lightweight either, but this doesn't compress down noticeably. I was surprised by that. I gave it a really intense test: ate a bunch of corn chips in the evening and chased them with some fire cheetos. That's a recipe for GERD for me. In fact, I was practically feeling it before getting in bed. Anyway, I had no problems all night. I had no problems with GERD or with adjusting to the slop. Great product. Should it cost as much as it does? Well, it could be cheaper but the price isn't outrageous. It was most definitely worth it for me.

I haven't fully opened it, but I can't get it back in the box. In the photos, it appears to have a cover. It doesn't. I just ordered a mattress cover to go over it. I wouldn't have paid this much had I not seen a cover in the photo and been stupid enough to think it came with one. It might be a great piece of bare foam. I don't know yet. There's no way to keep it clean like it is. If it's very than 3 stars, I'll update this review.
