This hat makes walking on a cold, wet and windy winter night in Scotland much more enjoyable. I've tried hats with built-in ear protection before and none of them come close to this one! It's so lightweight and comfortable and although it protects from the cold, rain and wind (only been able to test to -3c so far but I'll update as it gets colder) it doesn't cause your head to overheat and sweat. I even tried wearing it indoors to test how comfortable it was and it passed that test too. I've found with other hats that if I walk into a shop or indoors somewhere, my head gets very hot but this hat keeps my head at a comfortable temperature. It handles wind and rain easily and I would definitely recommend trying it out.

This hat is warm and waterproof in fact on some occasions it can be too warm but then it is marketed as an Extreme Cold Weather Hat. So, I have bought another unlined Sealskin hat for when it is warmer. All seasons covered.

Excellent quality hat that keeps you dry and warm in all weather. I use it for walking as well as playing golf, very lightweight, comfortable and versatile. I particularly like that the ear flaps can be lifted.

Front of the cap is fairly soft but rigid enough to keep a head torch in place when running. Super warm and waterproof so really happy with it.

My head is 59cm. The size chart says XL is up to 61It is unpleasantly tight and gave me a headache. The strap at the back is ludicrously oversized/heavyweight. The tight elastic made the flaps pop up at the sides.I unpicked and removed the elastic from the back through a small hole in the lining. Just about wearable now, but the fleece is thin and the wire in the peak is not stiff enough.

This hat was chosen for its adaptiveness by a keen walker. It is portable and folds/stashes into my bag and has protected my head and ears across many a windy field without blowing away. Very comfortable. As a lady wearer with long hair I am very impressed with the fit. I would highly recommend this hat. My measurements were correct. I will be buying another as my husband has borrowed it too many times now. It never looks crushed out of my bag but stylish and well made. Highly recommended by both of us!!

Great hat for fall or cold spring days. It is water proof, but i cant see how it would be good to use when it gets colder than -5 °C.I have used it during Moose hunting days in Sweden

So happy that I followed the advice shared in the other reviews to get 1 size larger, it’s a snug fit really warm and waterproof until now, perfect for rough weather when fishing.
