I love this mouse. Anyone sick of RSI from normal mouse should get one. there is a smaller version for small hands too which I got for my grandma and she loved it too.

Background: For years, I've used an Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 wireless, after using a standard mouse left me with pains that would occasionally radiate all the way up my arm. My office bought me a VerticalMouse C (gold) for my desk, and after using it at work, I had to replace my VerticalMouse 3 at home, too; as spectacular as that older mouse was, they have perfected this model to mold exactly to your hand. Though it's hard to tell from the picture, the way it fits your hand is _that_ much improved, and it's a joy to use. Pros: * Extremely comfortable to hold and use. * Shorter mouse receiver doesn't protrude too far from my laptop. * At home, I have the receiver plugged into my monitor (Dell U2413), which acts as a hub. This way it's easy to get to if I want to move my mouse to another machine. The mouse seems to work fine that way from my desktop (and not line-of-sight in this configuration). (Interestingly enough, when I plug my laptop into the same monitor, it doesn't seem to receive the mouse as well (as another person posted), and I need to move the receiver to my laptop. Could be something to do with it being a MacBook Pro, of course.) ** The fact that it uses a separate receiver allows me to use this on older machines that do not have built-in bluetooth. * Excellent customer service from Evoluent (needed to ask for warranty replacement, and they were courteous, and the process was fast and easy). Cons: * There seems to be a small design flaw; because of the way this mouse is shaped, it is perfectly molded to a hand in a handshake position. This does mean that you need to be careful trying to pick it up; the nearly teardrop shape means that there's not much grip you can use while lifting it (use two hands, or turn it upside-down to prevent dropping it). If you do drop it, the top mouse button protrudes ever so slightly above the rim of the inner shell, and that will hit the ground first, breaking the pin that connects the button to the 'left' switch. This is not normally a problem; just be aware that since it's shaped differently than a standard mouse, care must be taken to pick it up differently. * Still no Linux drivers. Neutral: * The downward tilt on the scroll wheel isn't a big deal, and does seem to be a bit more comfortable. This can tend to move my whole hand slightly down the mouse so that my pinky just starts to slide off the end. Again, not a big deal, just something to note, and maybe a slight refinement for future models. I still consider this my first choice for a mouse.
