It was a surprise for me!
I recently purchased this Cajon drum recommended by a friend and I couldn't be happier with it! Not only does it produce amazing sound, but it's also easy to learn and very portable. I can play my first song already after 3 online classes! What surprised me the most is that such a compact drum can produce such a variety of sounds and styles! Love it!

A decent little travel drum for acoustic jams
The media could not be loaded. I was pretty impressed by the quality of this little drum. The snare wires really give it a nice sound and you can vary the tone by simply moving the wires or changing sides. It's very flexible. It would be good to jam with acoustic instruments like guitar or ukulele but probably not loud enough to compete with electric instruments.

Good tones, a versatile travel drum
This drum is perfect in every way...Except...Why is there an adhesive sticker on the wood? Gummy sticker stuff is proving impossible to remove, and it's on the up surface, hard to ignore.

Need more practice
The media could not be loaded. I felt like I had a good sense of tempo and rhythm, but it wasn't as easy as I thought. My left hand wasn't accurate on the beats and taps. Need more practice... The cajun itself is looking great and sharp. It came in a little bigger than I expected, in a backpack. TODO seems to be making quality stuff, and I'm satisfied. (I had to peel off a sticker on the top of it, not sure what the sticker was for.)

Great Sound and Well Crafted
Occasionally, I am a substitute teacher at an elementary school and I am always looking for ways to entertain the young kids. I have limited ability to bring much with me so when I found the TODO Travel Cajon Box Drum, I was intrigued. As soon as I opened the TODO Travel Cajon, I was immediately impressed with the craftsmanship, design, and quality material. TODO thought of everything and really focused on the details. Rounded corners, adjustable straps, 3 different sounds, and a quality protective backpack (storage case). I knew it would serve my needs, but I asked a HS band director to play the TODO Cajon Drum. He made the TODO cajon sound fantastic. We discussed the sound quality and we agreed there is a slight difference in the timbre between the TODO Travel Cajon and a full size cajon, but the difference is not material and an acceptable trade-off based on the portable design and weight. If there was one thing I would change, I would have used a stiffer backpack. I know I will be transporting this in my car and want to make sure the TODO Travel Cajon stays protected.Based on my personal experience and product review, I am giving the TODO Travel Cajon a 4-star rating and would highly recommend it.

Once you've got the touch ...
You can start bopping right away, but in order to get the most out of this portable percussion instrument, you'll want to practice a bit to develop the right "touch." That's because it's not about just thwacking the thing. Subtle differences in how and where you hit can give you a broader sound palette. Once you've got it, you can bring a lot to an acoustic jam session.Manufacturing quality is very good, just about good enough to justify the price. It feels well put together and is overall nice to play and hold. Sound is good. It's a nicely made product that both looks and feels good. It's nicely portable, too.Great addition to any musician's home, especially if you enjoy impromptu acoustic jam sessions
