The gauge works fine but the quality isn't the best. The holes are sharp.

Pressure canner recipes have different weights for different foods. This is a simple way to adjust it to make sure its working for your specific recipe. Its so simple too! Its just a slightly tighter fit on the greater pressure settings. It worked for me and I don't see how it could ever break. I can recommend this product.
